The city is full of memories of the late Teresa Teng, the pop diva whose hit ballads such as 「Sweet as Honey」 and 「The Moon Represents My Heart」 captured the hearts of millions across Asia and transcended not only geographical boundaries but time and generations as well.

As an alternative view, I was comforted to note that there were no photographs showing her ageing process because she passed away at 42 years old. In this respect, her young, youthful and charming images remained forever in our memories and for all to see. Unlike other celebrities who were getting old ( that sometimes led to disappointment with illnesses and pitiful deaths without anyone knowing), the images of Teresa Teng remained timeless, everlasting, enchanting, vibrant and very much alive in ever fan's heart. In this aspect, I thank God that the sweet memories of Teresa Teng remained in the millions of hearts of her fans and to this day still love her iwith passion in their hearts.

I grew up in the 60's and was an avid Roy Orbison fan. I thought his voice was unsurpassed. But I went to live in Hong Kong in the early 80's and I heard and saw Teresa Teng my whole love of music shifted instantly. After returning to the UK I bitterly regretted never seeing her in concert in those Hong Kong days, and it's my intention to visit her grave before I die. I've never known a more complete, humble, talented, beautiful person, and if it's possible to love someone you've never met then I truly love this lady. There'll never be another Teresa Teng, and what's more, I don't want one, I live with her music daily these days, she's the best there's ever been, and you can't get better than that. She'd be thrilled to see how much she's still loved and listened to all these years after leaving us, and rightly so.

After some 10 years the ardor and sentiment one feels toward a deceased celebrity would've petered out considerably if not absent totally. However, this not seems to be the case regarding Teresa Teng. There are still unabated admiration and fond memories being publicly displayed toward Teresa even to this day - 23 years after her passing. In recording music field, one is only as good as one's last album. So, fame didn't mean all that much to her, it was merely a byproduct of what she had done - fulfilling her passion of singing. As time goes by after such a long, long stretch Teresa Teng still remains firmly in so many people's hearts, which is the best testament to her specialness. A quite unique phenomenon, no matter how one looks at it. The world had vastly benefited from those magical performances from her angelic, mesmerizing voice. I, for one, am truly grateful that she had lived during my lifetime and I value her more each day as I grow older.

I'm a millennial who was only less than six months old when Teresa Teng passed away. I only discovered Teresa Teng when there was a Google Doodle in the search bar to commemorate her 65th birthday. I read her biography on how she rose in her legendary and GOAT status today not just in Chinese-speaking nations but also in the entire Asia particularly in the Philippines, my home country. Four years later, Teresa Teng resurfaced in my Google algorithm through news about here hologram concert as early as midyear of 2022. It was also resurfaced when I started listening to Mandarin Pop Songs such as Xie Hua Piao Piao, Luguwo, Super Idol, and Shanghai Beach that are used in social media as memes. I kept listening because it was fun. Along with the Chinese meme songs in the random Mandopop playlist, there was TERESA TENG that appeared in my playlist. Without any hesitation it's a love at first listen, and maybe at first sight, especially when The Moon Represents My Heart was played. Even though I might not be able to witness and listen to her songs in her lifetime, she sealed her mark to listen to her songs, no matter how young she left in this world. It's an honor to bear my responsibility to share your music to non-Chinese Gen Z kids to appreciate classical pop and ballad music. Wo ai ni TERESA TENG, from the Philippines. ❤️🥰🇵🇭

I knew TT from five years ago.. since the news said there is reincarnations of TT, she called Langgalamu, the 16 years old girl sing her song in The voice of china season 4.
