This was one of the videos that inspired me to work in Yosemite :) I start in about one week and I am so excited! I have a few questions though, I am in housekeeping, is a uniform provided or do I bring my own? Did you bring your own food to cook/is it expensive to eat there every day? Do I have to bring my own laundry detergent? What did you record/edit this on? Thanks again!!

Hi there! Thank you so much!! Happy to hear that☺️🥰 ▫️The uniform is provided at the warehouse near Yosemite falls. But you need to bring your own shoes for work. Sometimes they might provide shoes for employees for free depending on the manager. ▫️I brought just some of the food, light and easy to eat like instant noodles, etc. The food here is not that expensive for employees. There are groceries such as Village store and Curry Village store that provide you snacks, drinks and food ingredients (that you can cook in shared kitchen) with 15% discounts, and also there are restaurants and cafes such as Village Grill, Valley Lodge, Curry Village Pizza Deck and Coffee Corner (with 50% discount) and Degnant’s Deli (with 15% discount). Sometimes you get free food from your workplace or from your friends :) ▫️Yes, you have to bring your own laundry detergent, which you can buy it in the groceries with 15% discount. They might sell only one brand. For me still expensive compared to the price in the city (more choices) so if you have a chance to go to the city, buy it there. And, feel free to ask me if you have more questions! Hope you get the best experiences and memories while working there! 💚🏞️

Thank you so much for watching my video💚☺️ Yes! There is a chance to find a second job but it depends on how much employees they need at that time. You can try ask any workplaces. You can get overtime rate as well if you work more than 8 hours a day and more than 40 hours a week😊

@@pinvixpa hey question so I’m traveling to Yosemite what’s the best way to get there if out of state? Fly to Fresno and Uber to the park or is there a bus route you’re aware of? I’m open to flying both sfo and Fresno

​@@maymaysama Hi there! There are YARTS buses that can get you to Yosemite from Fresno (I think only in summer season) and Merced. From Fresno, it's about 3-4 hours to get to the park. You can book the bus via yarts.com/buy-yarts-tickets-online/. But from SFO, you have to take a train or a bus to Merced first and then take a YARTS to the park. This route will take more time (7-8 hours). You can book the whole trip via www.amtrak.com/home.html. It'll be cheaper than you book separately ! :) 💚
