There's rapid drops over 20 feet tall, respect them. Silver creek is an amazing trout stream, gotta start further up. Stay out of the wrenshall hay fields if you don't like ticks!

Enjoy your videos. I miss new ones from Minnesota but understand with you moving to Colorado. We camped at Jay Cooke Memorial Day weekend 2021. Just curious about where you lived in Minnesota. Someone thought Mankato but I am thinking it might be Little Falls. I was born and raised in New Ulm so I appreciate your husband's choice for the beer in this video. We live in Eau Claire and love camping at Wisconsin State Parks and Forests and occasionally a Minnesota State Park.

Great video! We always drive just past into Duluth and don’t stop for this park but your video has changed my mind! Also, one of our favorite hidden gems in Duluth is the trails along Tischer Creek/Congdon trail. Have you ever done that? Enjoy your fall🍁

Definitely stop the next time you are on your way to Duluth-you won't be disappointed! I have not been there yet, but it's on my list! (The list that doesn't end, right ;) Thank you so much for watching! Happy Fall to you! 🍁

@@JeanieMarie I'm sure!!!! Appreciate all the work you put into making these videos! We are heading up to Duluth area next weekend for 4 days....any suggestions for a State Park visit for hiking if we can only do one park?
@JeanieMarie4 жыл бұрын
@@NorseRanger I would check out Jay Cooke, since it would be on your way to Duluth. It's just outside of Carlton. The other closest state park to Duluth which is further up is Gooseberry State Park. If you plan on going to further up the North Shore I would recommend Tettegouche and hike to Shovel Point and High Falls, but if that is too far then Jay Cooke and Gooseberry will be your closest and best options near Duluth :) Have so much fun!

Sounds like you forgot what state you were in. Consuming alcoholic beverages is illegal in all MN state parks (BOOOO!). I believe most rangers will ignore it as long as you are not causing problems. But I'm sure you don't want to encourage others to do something that could cause them problems. Keep the videos coming.
