I know this song since a long time and heard quite some versions of it. The song always touched me - sometimes more, somtimes less. But your version, Lucy, cuts through my skin, my flesh and right into my bones, every time! Emotionally I‘m a quite well balanced and stable man, but I need to listen to your „Memory“ when I am alone because I can‘t control it. My emotions are going wild and the fight against the tears is always open-ended. After this thunderstorm of feelings everything inside me is a little bit better. Lucy, you are a powerful lady. Ms. Lucy comes across as a nice person, seeing her interaction with her sister and mother in other videos. God has not only bestowed on her talent, but also beauty, and a talented and supportive family, at least to my eyes that seems the case. I can't believe her control of her instrument was self taught. I strongly suspect that she got some good training. At her tender age, that must have happened with a supportive family. That is my guess, anyway.

Lucy is a "seasoned performer", in my opinion. Her unbelievable range, pitch perfect tone, great breathing control give me goosebumps. The finale to Memory is quite demanding, and the majority of vocalists sound like they are straining to some degree - this includes Paige, Streisand, Brightman and others. Miss Thomas sings the finale with seemingly no effort. Absolutely perfect pitch and control. I get goosebumps at about 3:20 every time I listen to this. Truly spectacular performance.
