In reference to Lennart Green. I'm 99% sure this is just card magic and an excellent stage performance. The majority of card magic revolves around sleight of hand to position cards where you want them in advance, while making it look like they're lost in the deck, followed by clever reveals that make it look like you're not just pulling the cards from the top or the bottom of the deck. Even in the middle when he gives it the shuffle/fancy cut, there are a number of ways to do that without changing any of the card positions or changing them in the way he'd like, such as bringing cards from the bottom of the deck to the top. It's very well done, one of my favourite clips. He's such a showman.

The magician's card feat is incredible but there are some ways to do it. My best guess is the deck starts out in a stack (Si Stebbins possibly) which means all the cards are in a specific order. The messy shuffling at the start might actually be a series of cuts which retain the stack but change where the cards are. So then when he's looking and making slight alterations he's returning it to the position he's memorised. From there it's muscle memory to make the false shuffles and produce the cards in the memorised order.

Not to discredit the insane amount of memory those blind folded speed runners use. cuz it is still quite a feat. But they don't do it all from memory. They actually use sound cues to find out where they are and memorize they game is "splits", rather than one long impossible stretch.

For the sm64 run a lot of the "mistakes" are actually setups to get to a specific spot consistently

I am of the opinion that that blindfold is not really a blindfold, and the player is making mistakes on purpose to make the run seem more realistic. if you compare it with an actual blindfold run you will see a lot more set ups that actually make sense. For instance the Chain Chomp star we watched here should have thrown him off since even if the runner knew where the edge of the fence was, getting hit threw him in a random direction, and he ran straight to the Star after. The actual blindfold sets you up in a corner (so you know where exactly you are) and then adjusts the camera so you can use a notch in the controller to run straight to the pillar and free the Chain Chomp with some audio queues to time it properly.
