This game was the first NFS I ever played and I didn't even own it. As a kid, I lived in some apartment blocks (from a different city from where I am now) and one of my friends had his own PC with various games, among them some of the first NFS', including this exact game and version (NFS II SE) and I LOVED it. It was my favourite game as a kid, and still is one of my favourites. Vivid memories of, usually, picking the Ferrari F50 up (my fav car at the time), driving through those outstanding landscapes the game had to offer and enjoying it a lot. It was truly the experience, specially as a kid. I didn't realize while growing but the game (and the NFS franchise itself) not only grew my fanaticism to cars but also molded my musical taste, thanks to the amazing and timeless soundtrack, which from time to time I listen to it, not only for the nostalgia but also because it keeps it charm even through the years. My hope of seeing a remaster, or even a new game but with the simpleness and originality from the 90's and 00's, is always with me. Heck, I even want to learn about programming and how to create a game just to make something similar but for now I stick with the memories and the music from this incredible game. Thanks for uploading this, even if it was 8 years ago (Damn. Time sure flies).

The graphics look amazing for a 1997 game, very close to those in Hot Pursuit.

Yeah I remember flying off the mountain when you go fast enough. I also remember hitting the guardrail at 6:10 and watching my car hilariously flipping to its death lol!

Great game and good memories, but the tracks in PS1 version looked somewhat different and that Mexico track wasn't included in the PS1 version at all.

These courses are very detailed but at the same time very boring to drive through, yet the vice versa is true for NFS 3 and High Stakes.
