This happens to me a lot sometimes the patient go all over with this super long stories and I don't know how to interrupt

I feel you. I also hate interrupting, maybe it’s because our upbringing or something, we don’t want to be rude. Just remember that if you let things fall apart, it’s and even mess trying to get the ball rolling again. The hard thing about these situations is knowing when we should interrupt and not, since there is not a one answer fits all to every session.
