If you label the jars first before wicking then you can more easily line things up. You can get that job done while your wax warms if you know how many candles of each scent you’ll be making

I found this to be easier too. It’s easier to match the wicks to the label than to match the label to the wicks.

Any solutions for jars that are tapered down the sides a bit? I find my jars the labels would be off jus slightly on each end since it tapers inwards a tiny bit from top to bottom on my jars.

an applicator will speed up your labeling 50x and cost much less then you think, round is easy and cheap : )

I use the smaller 10oz Cali jars from California Candle Supply and found that a similar device didn’t work for me because the jars taper at the bottom… so they will always come out crooked. Would work for tins, but not for glass jars that taper even the slightest amount. I’ve also started labeling my candles before wicking them and pouring.

Looks like yours are coming out ok, but mine ended up crooked with a different but similar labeling device

I also purchased the other wooden device that is similar to this. Using glass jars, the jars are not always exactly flat on the bottom and therefore, the labels will be affixed crooked. Unfortunately, for me it did not work because of the variation in the bottoms of the glass vessels. So excited that this works for you or others that have flat bottoms! 🙂

I have the Cali jars as well with a different label guide. Best I have come up with to battle the taper is to position the top half of the candle against the guide. This will leave a tiny space between the bottom (smaller half) and the guide. As long as the very bottom (underside) of the vessel is pushed all the way against the bottom of the guide you should be fine. I’ve tried using a spacer like a popsicle stick but it was more trouble than it was worth.

I have this machine and hate it. It’s difficult to use and not precise. I purchased it last year and ended up just doing it by hand because it was way easier and more precise than the machine. Especially if you need it to go all the way around the jar. DO Not Waste Your Money!

It’s not great for taped vessels, we only use it now for our room sprays and it works great for those!

Hello. Just saw your question. The Label Ledge will only work with a label that has a straight side as that is what is used to line it up with the ledge. Unfortunately round and oval labels will not work. Thanks for asking.
