We love it here. It's the perfect way to spend lunch time and then walk it off on the beach. The drive there is stunning. Wowbthe weather played ball for you today! It's such a beautiful beach. I hope the pub cat was around when you visited! Cheers 🍻

This was great thank you! I was fortunate to go there several times as a child as my Uncle used to lead a group walking around this area in particular, or other parts of North Wales. I have a photo of me walking along the beach here as a young girl! I’m now much older so it was a real ‘blast from the past’ !

Wow - what a stunning location although... You certainly timed your visit perfectly - did you go in the pub? Quite a charming spot on such a day. Def the best time to visit? Its name says Inn but it does not offer accommodation anymore. It’s a pub and a beach bar when they have the DJ on the decks with people on the sands enjoying the music and views. There is not much to see inside as most people sit outside. It’s open seasonally.

Did you know that the little village of Porth Dinllaen, where is pub is situated, was under consideration as a possible port for the Royal Mail ships to run from Wales to Dublin. It was a choice between Holyhead and Porth Dinllaen. Obviously, Holyhead won the vote.

As 1 who has spent a lifetime driving heavy vehicles on country roads where it is a minimum of 2 chains between fences (mostly more - if fenced at all!) the country lanes of the Old Dart always intrigued. The view out of a bus with the hedges or stone walls whizzing by and the overhanging roadside verdage sculpted to the shape of the bus plus the British penchant for politeness and queuing showing in the way the traffic always made sufficient space for passing - all contrast with here where we operate on the Idi Amin Principle. "In Uganda we are going to change over from the old Colonial system of driving on the left. But we are going to do it gradually - Buses and Trucks First!" 😉😱😈

This place is truly a victim of it's own hype. If you're thinking about going, then yeah, you'll enjoy the view but I'll warn you that you'll also be _enjoying_ some glaringly out of place repetitive beats at volume & also the _opportunity_ to pay £7 for a paper cup of San Miguel
