Thinking about putting the 6.5’s low passed at 125hz in my doors that are dynomatted with 5.5 coaxle full range in pods. Do you see any issues with this combo? They will have their own channels of coarse.

If you want to have mini-Memphis subwoofers in your lower door speaker locations the Memphis PRX624 is a great call. They have a selectable 2 or 4-ohm impedance, a frequency response of 50-150Hz, and can handle a maximum of 150-watts RMS from your amplifier. A low pass filter is required, and 125Hz should sound great with these! You will want to check your specific year, make, model, and trim vehicle in our online fit guide to confirm a fit. www.crutchfield.com/I-rYALc166/p_953PRX624/Memphis-Audio-PRX624.html

What can you tell me about the shallow mount 12” subs? (I have 2 on order)

Did you order the Power Reference Series 12"?

I can’t find a video for the life of me, I’m thinking about buying two of these but would I be able to wire them both up to get a 1 ohm final load? If so I would like to know how, the selectable impedance makes it a little bit confusing
@crutchfield2 жыл бұрын
Two subwoofers with a 2 ohm impedance can be wired together in parallel to get a 1 ohm load for an amp. We have a tool on our site that helps show to wire subs together that can show you how to wire them: www.crutchfield.com/I-rYALc227/learn/learningcenter/car/subwoofers_wiring.html

What line up of Memphis amps would you recommend if going with a single 10”? Would you recommend any other amps other than Memphis amps?
@crutchfield2 жыл бұрын
Memphis' Street Reference SRX250.1 amp is an excellent match to run one of their 10" Power Reference subwoofers. The amp can be found here: www.crutchfield.com/I-rYALc227/p_953SRX2501/item.html

@crutchfield Жыл бұрын
Hi Shane, we currently only offer a single ported match for this sub: www.crutchfield.com/I-rYALc921/p_419SB112VL/item.html The recommended ported box volume is 2.75 cubic feet

I have the 8". If i get a amp the is 300 watt rms, is that too much for the sub?
@crutchfield2 жыл бұрын
Hi Ryan! That should be fine, just keep the gain dialed down a bit on your amp. 👍

@@crutchfield the car is a 2007 Acura TL and I would be using a extra yellow top battery and JL Audio HD Series HD1200/1 amplifier if there are others that would be better for the setup let me know
@crutchfield2 жыл бұрын
The Series HD1200/1 is an excellent sub amp. You'd need a second amp for the full range speakers. Will you be using an aftermarket radio with pre-amp outputs? What types of music do you listen to most often?

I’ve had these subs in my store since about March or April. Covid sucks but why are we just covering this? Like even Memphis site still aren’t talking about m7s, mojo pros, the awesome truck boxes, or the great preloaded boxes on them m7s and mojos.

@@crutchfield oh it wasn’t on you guys, I meant more as a community like “why are we sleeping on these” Memphis overall doesn’t get a lot of coverage, love their MB subs, got a Mojo prefab in my car. Love em.

I have 2 of these in the 6.5 inch to custom fit them on either side of my extended cab s10, would a kicker cxa.300.1 work well with these? I will be wiring them in series/parallel they will each be getting 150w which is their rms. I might step it up to a 400-500w (200-250w each sub) depending on your answer

1) is there a single or Double Dinn headunit & Dash Kit that will fit a 2015 Acura RDX? 2) or is there a way to connect an AMP & SUBS the factory stereo?
@crutchfield2 жыл бұрын
We do not have a way to replace the stock radio in your Acura RDX. However, we do have the ability to install an amp and subwoofer setup to the factory system and our technical support knows how to disable the active noise canceling system so the new amp/sub setup won't cause any bad sounds to start coming from the other speakers. One of the best devices to getting the audio ready for the sub amp is a device like the AudioControl LC2i found here: www.crutchfield.com/I-rYTVc227/p_161LC2IPRO/item.html

@@crutchfield Thank you very much. I'll definitely give the LC2Ipro a shot. 1 last question. Without upgrading the alternator and battery, what's the max watts Amplifier i can use?
@crutchfield2 жыл бұрын
In most smaller passenger vehicles, 750 watts on the audio system is the tip-over point, but that can be dependent on the alternator. If you have the specs on the alternator, feel free to contact one of our Advisors to help get the best match. Our number is 800-309-2075.
