It looks great. A Memphis Shades windshield was on my bike when I got it, and it's so nice to have, but it's scratched to hell and too tall for me so I'm dying to get a replacement shield. The mounting system is sooo good that I'll never consider anything else. Easy on, easy off and no fuss whatsoever. Such an awesome design.

I used an Arlen Ness fairing on my Sportster many moons ago, they were everywhere on Sportsters and Dynas in and around Southern California. I didn't use a shield then, but I was much much younger :) Don't have much experience with a windshield, but I'm counting it as a bonus on the Heritage I'm looking at vs. getting another one of the Softails and adding bags and things to it, and thinking ahead to longer trips and dealing with wind/rain/bugs etc. I've had my eye on Memphis Shades for quite a while as they make both fairings and windshields for the Softail line that look nice. Very timely review thanks!

Looks good. I'm definitely going Memphis shades on my Sport Glide. I've narrowed it down to the Memphis Fats drop top or the road warrior fairing. After seeing the standard fats on your slim I believe I'm leaning more towards the windshield. Looking forward to your ride review. Take care.

I have a Memphis Shade Slim 17 inch on a Road King Special and absolutely love it. Keeps that wind off my chest and keeps the bugs away. The whole setup is better than the Harley brand for sure. I have the nightshade windshield which blends in with the blacked out forks and headlight. Memphis Shades rocks!

Never liked the looks of a windshield on my Slim but I tried to use it for a long trip to cut down on wind pressure on my chest. I could never get rid of the head buffeting no matter how I positioned it so I gave up. Looking forward to hearing how you do with yours. Hope it works out>

Ok I’ve been trying to find a windshield that works for me. Personally I prefer not to have one but for longer trips it helps with fatigue. My biggest complaint is buffeting. I had a 18” Harley windshield and the buffeting was unbearable so I cut it down to 15” and it was better however there still was buffeting coming up from the bottom. Next I tried fork mounted wind deflectors seemed to work better but I think it was wishful thinking on my part. Then I got a long ride 16” dark tint recurve looks cool and also works a bit better. I’m not sure if I can get rid of the buffeting entirely but not is an engine guard with soft lowers. From what I hear the lowers should stop the buffeting from the air coming up. I hope you don’t have the same problem as me. Oh.. when I wear my half helmet the buffeting isn’t anywhere close to what it is with a full face. Ramble on enough. Have a great Thanksgiving.

Get HD fork mounted wind detectors. I did and its 100% better stops the wind from coming by the has tank.

Carolina Rider does Harley have them for the Slim now.? When I was looking couldn’t find any. Have some aftermarket ones and they don’t seem to cut much wind.

hi, have an 16 slim , Im a little confused, do you have to buy the kit , to mount, and then the windshield, I keep looking all over to find the complete kit and all Im getting is the kit and random windshields,, I need the black version as I have a black denim bike, can you find me a link for the entire thing? thanks

@@TonysGarage so I went on the Memphis shades site, and yes they make it easy,, however here is my problem,, I can't get the black installation kit, with a clear windshield, believe it or not,,,,lol in fact the woman I was able to get on the phone was quite rude, and says , and I quote" thats what they have, take it or leave it,, " they can sell what ever they want, so the result is I can not buy a black install kit like the one you showed in y our vid for my 16 softail slim in denim black, I am forced to buy a chrome , or polished set,,,lol guess I will go to Harley ,, its weird as they do sell a black install kit, but wont sell it with a clear shield,

Not enough to bother me except went its cold out. Memphis makes some pretty nice hand guards. I know a lot of people using them. Check out Kidmotto22 and D-cycle.

I know I'm loveable :) but can you tell me if you have problematiek of cold hands with thay windscreen or these it reflect the wind enough?In Belgium we can have shit wheater

They’re real nice and help with wind and bugs and all that but honestly for me it ruins the looks and that’s something I am not very willing to compromise so I took the shield off of my bike.

Not sure about other people commenting... (and I know it's a cynical outlook on this). But the fact that they "paid you" a.k.a. gave free product that you are reviewing invalidates the whole review for me. It's totally possible that you are speaking genuinely BUT I cannot assume that the recommendation you gave was not biased due to the personal gain you received from this company. Hey Delco, I get that man. I have received numerous items from different companies that never even made it to video because I didn’t believe in them.
