Enjoy that almost 8 hour ride to Tahoe. Highway 395 is pretty boring until you get close to Nevada. Then it is beautiful.

Hey Tim, I know this is an older video but I was wondering if you had any issues with the mounting plates and the fork clamps? I can’t seem to get both the locking mechanism (top hooks) and lower hooks to grab, if I hook the lower first the top doesn’t reach and if I hook the top first the lower hook doesn’t touch. Even after moving the lower clamps closer I still have trouble

@@rluna09 I remember it took some finessing at first. I would put the bottoms in first on each side then keep the tops a little loose and slide them into place. Also you can adjust the angle on the with the Allen wrench. Try changing the angle and see if that helps. Hope you get it to work!

@@TryItWithTim Thanks for the tips but man I just can’t get anything to hook. I tried the bottom two but only one hooks, when I finally hook both the fork clamp slides out and then I have to retighten and so I lose the spot I had it in. I’ve been at this for an hour and a half man this sucks 😂 I even dropped the fairing so it doesn’t even look new anymore

Throw away the instructions.....I knew that wasn't gonna happen, lol. That looks totally cool. Do the vents shoot air up and over your head or are they faux vents.

I got the 11 inch non-vented on my new FXLRS2022 and I get a terrible buffering.. You think the vented-one should help?

Hmm I don’t think so. Either the height is not right or the angle needs some adjustment

I've been riding with the Road Warrior the majority of the time because it does cut the wind down and I like the style. I want to try the Del Rio because its larger then the Del Rey and probably deflects more wind. If I could go with one I would say Road warrior because you have option to get different sized windshields and also vented vs non vented.

Im 5'9, I think the 13" will suit you well if you want better wind deflection.
