Lawler and Dundee could go out there, old age bad hearts, canes or walkers, and still put on a better show than WWE.

hahahaha to quote an old Jim Cornette phrase - or was it a Jerry Lawler phrase? - re: Bill Dundee - "he's so hyper, he makes coffee nervous". LOL

Dundee is 5'7 and could hold his own. Mysterio is 5'4 and can wrestle too. Height is just a word. These 2 guys were Hogan and Savage for the Memphis territory. Love these guys. Met them both back in the 90s. Good men and I salute them both....T

The bulldog at 4:10 is impactful, and it doesn’t take 10 seconds to set up. Simple, straightforward, and effective. I am old school… but so many of the moves done now take so long to set up, that it impacts the match going on (no pun intended). This is just two dudes, trading punches. It was believable back then, and I’ll always enjoy watching it. 👍

It must have been heaven watching this as a kid....we had Saturday TV wrestling here in the UK...and our heroes and villains...for us it was Big Daddy vs Giant Haystacks...but NEVER the real character development of this....great stuff!

Distinctly remember this as a kid, remember Lawler wearing black and green. At 1:45 Lawler seems to forget he's on live Tv in the kayfabe era, but we've seen him do it many times. Classic stuff.

Dundee and Lawler were like Flair and Rhodes. U new it was gnna b a battle and they knew each other so well they culd do it with there eyes closed but damn it was always fun to watch. Dundee as a heel was a heatseeking missle. I was always a Dundee fan but when he was a heel god it was great.

Dundee was much better than Lawler, Even as a heel, Dundee broke fewer rules than Lawler. Interestlingly, Lawler and Dundee would win AWA tag-team champ. a year later.

Notice how they got this small crowd poppin and WWE crowds are huge and quiet as a cricket because they don't know how to set up a story line/match and the crowd bought it.

@1:47 Lawler is laughing. It was heaven watching this as a kid, I remember this angle very clearly. Love that music as they go to break.

thanks for the cute insult. I don't care who you're "friends" with they didn't hate each other both guys have said so repeatedly just that they didn't hang out because Lawler didn't drink etc. Do a little fact checking.
