The prophet sws said “ as I was sitting Abu Jahl the Enemy of Islam saw me in this state of worry. Abu Jahl asked him “What happened ?” The prophet said “something happened.” Abu Jahl asked “what ??” The prophet said “ last night I traveled from Medina to Jerusalem” and “you are back now ?” Yes replied the prophet sws. Abu Jahl stayed serious. He wanted to mock the prophet after everyone came. He said “ Will you tell this to the people also?“ Yes replied the prophet sws. Abu Jahl began to yell out “hiyya Mashura Ya Bani Kaab” The people came because they were curious and this was a leader Abu Jahl. Abu Jahl said “tell them what you told me like you promised me. The Prophet said “I was taken from Medina to Jerusalem yesterday night.” The people began to react in different ways. They were curious. They knew he was not a liar but some began to slap their hands in anger and others began to mock him. One of them who had been there said “describe it to us.” The prophet sws said “I began to describe it until they began to ask me details and I couldn’t remember all the details they were asking for. I became very anxious and terrified as I was waiting to respond suddenly I saw Bait Al Maqdis in front of me. I answered every question everyone had. They all knew that the prophet had not seen it. Then one of them said “As for the description this is accurate.” Then the prophet sws said “I will give you three more signs. He Told him about the three caravans. The first one is close to the city and will reach here soon and it belongs to so snd so. The second caravan lost a camel. The third car van has an urn that I drink from and belongs to so-and-so. Abu Jahl said then th first caravan should be here by now. Soon news came that the first caravan had arrived. Abu jahl went personally to see that the caravan had arrived. When he saw that it was true he said “indeed this is sorcery and black magic.” He refused to accept the truth. Ibn Hisham mentioned that some of the Muslims became apostates / Murtad because of this but there are no narrations to support that any Muslims left during the Meccan period. Also Heraclees had asked Abu Sufyan who was a non Muslim, if any of the Muslims left islam after accepting and Abu Sufyan said no! One of the Quraysh ran to Abu Bakr and said “ have you heard what you companion has said? He claims to have gone from Mecca to Jerusalem in one night. Abu Bakr said “ if he said then he spoke the truth.“ The man said “ do you believe him in this?” Abu Bakr said “ I believe in something far greater. He says that revelation comes to him from above the seven heavens.” After this Abu Bakr got the title As Siddiq- the trust worthy! Al Isra is mentioned in Surah Al Isra and Al Miraj is mentioned in Surah Al Najm. Q: did the prophet see is lord? When Aisha was teaching behind the curtain. Aisha said No! Allah says No eyes can encompass him. He student Masruk said “O mother don’t be upset but what about the ayahs that say and he saw him in the highest place and the other one that says and he was closer than two bowls length.” Aisha said “ my hairs are standing on end because of what you said. No eyes can see him.I was the first to ask the prophet about these verses. The references are to Gabriel.“ The Prophet spoke to him behind the curtain of light. Abu Dhur asked the prophet “ did you see your lord ?” The prophet sws replied there was light how could I see him?” When Allah lifted his veil the mountain collapsed. No creation can withstand him directly without the veil of light. Ibn Abbas said “the prophet sws saw Allah with his heart” When we are resurrected bodies will be different. We will be able to see Allah! Another debate scholars have is weather or not the prophet sws went physically on Isra wa Miraj or if it was just a dream ??? Some say that his statement “I woke up” to say that it was a deen and that most of issues in Islam are Metaphorical. They are modernists. The scholars say that there’s too much evidence to the contrary to show that it was physical. If it was just a dream it would not have been miraculous. Why would the prophet be afraid to tell Quraysh if it was just a dream? Why would he need the Barack to go if it was just a dream? He got thirsty and actually drink water on the road. Isra and Miraj is narrated in the Quran and authentic sunnah. It showed him his status. It comforted him. His strength and his belief just as Musa was strengthened by Allah in Toore Sina. Even Esa and Abraham were strengthened by Allah. This shows that even prophets benefit from reminders and strengthening the belief. The entire event was a gift from Allāh to the prophet sws. Miracles are usually given by God to convince the disbelievers but this was just for him. It came at a time of great sadness. He lost his wife, uncle and he was rejected by the people of Taif. This shows that the greater the difficulty the greater the ease. The reward is greater than the difficulty and hardships.

ان مع العصر يصر Benefits from Isra Al Miraj These miracles and experiences would have been too much for an average person to be able to handle, but the prophet went to sleep when he came back. Allah praised him and he was brave in telling the people, even Abu Jahl, though he doubted they would believe him. We see that today Muslims try to appease others so that they can change slam to make it fit modern society. Our job is to just convey the message as it is not to sugarcoat it. Guidance only comes from Allah and we have to do our part and convey. We see that this incident clearly proves that Allah is above his throne above the seven heavens in the way befitting his majesty. This refutes that Allah is everywhere!! The Christians destroyed bait al Maqdis the temple of Solomon because they hated the Jews. They wanted to wipe them out. They turned it into a junkyard. They blamed Jews for rejecting Christ and killing him. When Umar came and conquered Jerusalem he rebuilt it because it belongs to the prophet Solomon. Some scholars say since the profit first prayed in Jerusalem then came and prayed in the Kaaba in Mecca this was an indication that the Qibla would be changed from Jerusalem to the Kaaba. Less than two years later it was changed. Every blessing in the world comes from an effort. You can get things but you must take the action and put the effort in. The prophet had to work and ride the Barak all the way to Jerusalem. Moses had to walk miles and run away and hit the sea with his staff before it split. Mary had to shake the tree for the fruits to fall down. Sarah walked miles before the Zam Zam water came out. The milk and wine story shows the prophets pure soul. He chose correctly for his nation. When the prophet sws saw Adam as He was surrounded by many many people that were on his right and on his left. Gabriel told him that the people of the right are the people of Junnah and the prophet became happy. The people on the left are the people of Jahanam . And the prophet sws became sad. He saw all the pillars of iman on this trip. The prophets, the pen and Kadr, Junnah, Juhunnam etc. only the salah was established in Junnah. It has a high status.we will be asked about it first. We should accept the decree of Allah that some people will be richer and more powerful than us and this Dunya. The prophets all accepted that Muhammed was given a higher status than themselves. They were not jealous. The prophet status was over the rest of creation as he was the only one chosen to see the highest level. We also see the superiority of our nation over the rest of the other ummahs. Even Musa’s nation could not do salah 5 times a day. We must seek permission before entering someone’s house by knocking on the door. Gabriel not before entering. We see that you must reply with your name when someone asks “Who is there ?” Don’t say “me”. The one who is walking should give salaam to the one who is sitting. Give glad tidings to the people and give good advice to them. It is permissible to sit with our back to the Qibla. It is better to travel at night. The Prophet said Allah makes night travel is better

He proceeded on after he had met all of the prophets.Then he went up to the Sidrath Al Muntaha - the lote tree at the end. The leaves of this trees are as big as the water vessels of Hajar. And its leaves are shaped like the ears of 🐘 elephants. Jibreel told him this is the sidrathul Muntaha. Then Jibreel went up with him to the top of the tree. Allah said “ when the tree was covered up by what it was covered with” - we don’t know what he is referring to. The prophet sws said there were colors on this tree that I don’t know how to describe them. Everything that ascends from the earth, souls, duas, and kalimas goes up to the Sidrathul Muntaha and stops there. The tree absorbs all of this. The roots begin the sixth heaven in the trunk goes up to the top of the seventh heaven. It is surrounded by beautiful butterflies made of gold circling around it. It is an ever-changing tree dynamic and amazingly unbelievably beautiful. At its base four rivers run through it. The Nile, The Euphrates, considered as the rivers of the cradle of civilization. The two rivers of Junnah are Al Kawthar and Sal Sabeel. Then the prophet sws said I saw the Bait Al Mamoor. It’s the Kaaba in the sky above the Kaaba on earth. At every moment 70,000 new angels come to worship and no group has returned yet for a second time. This tells us how many millions of angels exist. We don’t know if this incident happened another time or its referring to the first time he saw it. There are discrepancies because we are dealing with different human beings telling what they remember. They get confused. We have to piece together the different narrations. Here he saw Jibreel in his original form. He had 600 wings. Most of the angels have 2,3, or 4 wings but he is the highest of all the angels. His wings are made of pearls and corals dripping off. He blocked the entire Horizon. He only saw Jibreel twice in his original form. He had seen Jibreel, The Bait Al Mamoor and the Sidrath Al Muntaha. By the Sidrath he was given three things. The five daily salath. The ending of Surah Al Bakrah. An Allah promised him that anyone who worships Allah without shirk will enter Junnah. The last two versus of Baqarah . Some scholars say that these verses were spoken directly by Allah to the prophet sws. All of the other verses were brought down by Gabriel. Reading these two verses before you go to sleep are enough to protect you. One should memorize and recite them every night. There are many fabricated narrations about the time when the prophet was in front of Allah. We cannot be sure if the prophet went to speak to Allah by himself or he was accompanied by Gabriel. But most accounts point to him going by himself. The Prophet said “someone causes me to ascend to Allah and I could hear the pen writing in the book.” The Pen - Alalh first created the pen. He told the pen to write. The pen asked Allah “what should I write?” Allah said “ write down everything until the day of judgment.“ As far as we know, no living creature has gone up to this level, not even Gabriel. It appears the conversation was private but we do know that Allah told him to pray 50 times. Qadr - 5 levels of Kadr. 1. Qadr Al Azali - what Allah wrote 50,000 years ago before creation. This never changes. 2. The Yearly Qadr - this happens on Lathlatyul Qadr. 3. The lifetime Qadr in the womb. The rizk. Lifespan, actions and ending are written here. 4. The Daily Qadr - Malik Al Mowth - The angel of death will come one day to take your soul. That’s his job this is a daily qadr but the Prophet sws said “if you are good to your relatives it will increase your life.” There is a head Malik al Mowth. Qadr changes bc “Allah will erase what he wants.” The Prophet sws passed by Abraham. He didn’t say anything to him. Abraham didn’t question anything Allah said and he had no experience with a big ummah. When he passed Musa, he said “what did your lord tell you to do? “ Musa had a huge ummah and he was a prophet for about 80 years. Musa said “your ummah will not be able to handle 50 prayers !” Musa had also experienced speaking directly to Allah on the mountain where he stayed for 40 days. He was give me the 10 commandments there. Musa said “go back and tel him to lower it. I have more experience than you and Bani Israel was not able to handle it.” The prophet sws went back and it was lowered. Then Musa sent him back again and agin until it was only five times a day. Musa told him to go back and ask again but the prophet sws said “I am too shy to go and ask again. Allah describes the encounter between Gabriel in the prophet as-only two bows length apart while he was in his angelic form. Q: Then the Prophet said “then I woke up.“Does this mean that he was dreaming or that he left his body? Q: Allah’s throne shook ?? Some angels have the job of carrying Allahs throne. _____________________________________
