thank you for the information. I had trued the free but was thinking of going for it and paying for the subscription but was not sure, this video helped me decide to probably just go ahead and spring for it

I've been taking the German 1 course, and unlike other German courses, I can't say that Memrise didn't teach me Scheiße. ;-) With that said, I think they have a good approach to learning conversational language.
