That Edbert flashback sequence was *so* well done, major kudos. When he fell asleep again afterwards and the flashback sequence started again, the only thing I could say was "Dude, that's effed up..." Phenomenal stuff, I'm majorly invested in this series even though I know Simon won't die for at least 7 more episodes!

That was a neat way to narratively incorporate a backstory event. Also, don't forget Savage Worlds' Interlude system while your characters are traveling. :)

What an episode!!!!!!! Wow. I watch these on my TV, so it's harder to make a comment, but I just HAD to open it on my pc and write something, because this was beyond cool! Great, great storytelling and mood setting! I have also used to opportunity to make sure all the videos were properly liked! Don't forget to always like the videos, folks!!

For some reason "threadbare blanket" really made me feel extra bad for Edbert. Poor long suffering man. I'd love to see him in the 3rd season!! (Yes I'm rewatching all the episodes patiently waiting for season 3 🤣)

Ohh. my gosh. How does this video not have thousands of comments and likes?? I was honestly trying to avoid comments because spoilers 😱 and I’ve been super invested since I found this series around a week ago, but I HAVE to comment here. The dream sequence was so incredibly well done, and I love that you used it as a cold open. I’ve been listening to the series during my commutes to work and it was quite cold and foggy tonight on the drive home, and this made. my. night. Absolute favorite part so far; I felt like I was there. Cannot wait to continue and find out what happens to the lads next!!

Wow, that opening was enthralling! I can only hope to someday get anywhere close to this level of storytelling for my own solo or party campaigns. This adventure has been interesting and engaging all along, but that opening dream sequence really raised the bar.

I laughed my ass off that you said that killing the necromancer wouldn't count towards atonement. What I was thinking/hoping would happen is she would walk out of the wreckage as a near mortal again. That's probably how I would have crafted that, but sounds like you have something else in mind for these two. Looking forward to seeing what it is.

Sincerely wondering...I've rolled extensively and Im unsure if I've missed something. So the focus table with the modifiers doesn't ever come up with a random discovery or bandit encounter or even creature encounter. Even the random event on the chart bases your decision on the event verbs and nouns which very rarely give you a creature or bandit or ruin or cave encounter. So whilst you're roaming around the woods...plains or mountains...where do the creatures come in or a lair or a cave or just a random event? Or stumble across a town? Or an artifact? Or do you base all of it off the event modifiers? I had to add a sub table to add these events. How do you do it?

The Perlious Wilds book has some journey/exploration rules for this. With Mythic, it's more of an interrupt scene. Or asking if you're ambushed or stumble upon dangers.

I really did not like that back story for Cherylin. It would be more interesting if he did something treacherous, like sell her put to the enemy necromancer. Or abandon her and run after all the other mercenaries died. This story just makes her out to be a bi*ch
