Family friend, in the 90’s, was tried and convicted of gRape of his Ex. He received 12 years. 7 years later, she came forward and admitted she lied to get even with him for breaking up with her. He still didn’t get out until a total of 8 years in prison, and it ruined his life. By the way, she was never charged with anything.

In the fall semester of my sophomore year of college a girl I was seeing accused me of taking her phone and sending her nudes out on Snapchat. My college threatened to press charges on me, expel me, take away my academic scholarships, put me on probation, and wanted me to write a 5k+ word essay apologizing to the girl. While my frat didn’t stand up for me, wanted me to do community service hours and pay a “behavior fee”. The only reason I got off with no consequences was because I had shared my location with my dad and it showed I wasn’t on campus at the time she said it happened. If it wasn’t for that small coincidence my life would’ve been ruined. She did this because I start seeing another girl who was a cheerleader for a neighboring college. I will never believe all women unless I see proof. At the end of the year I transferred and never paid a dollar more in dues. Lying can seriously ruin someone’s life and people act like it’s not a big deal if the accuser is lying.

@ yeah It was awkward. Some faculty I built relationships started looking at me weird, my frat started speaking differently around me. So i just decided to get out of there. They were ready to do all of this before even getting any real information and speaking to me. I didn’t want to finish at a school like that, decided it was best for a fresh start. To this day I always keep every message from every girl I deal with. I think I have a little bit of ptsd from the whole ordeal lol

One of craziest things said (and there were a lot of crazy things said) during this podcast was when the lady said, she knows when her child is lying to her. It's one of the WILDEST things I hear parents say in life. Yes, sometimes a parent may know and sometimes a parent has no clue at all. I'm willing to bet that woman has lied to her parents and gotten away with it. If that's true, she knows firsthand that parents aren't all knowing when it comes to detecting their children's lies. Yes, I'm sure she knows her child better than anyone in the world, but no one is omniscient. Believe in your child. Give them the security of that, but verify all claims to the best of your ability. Especially the claims that can destroy a person's life.
