Those offset blocks are also nice cause if you run two of them(let's be honest 1 is none of course you have 2) you can get a 4:1 ratio by throwing the synthetic line through the middle hole of the first block after feeding it through the second block, since those offset blocks don't spin.

In the arborist community, we place a soft shackle around the outer diameter (where you place the synthetic winch line) and we run a rigging line through the hole in the middle. That acts as a snatch block but captures the rigging line inside the circle. I think that might be a more stable option for your usage as well!

The soft snatch block doesn’t spin. If you notice the hole inside is off center, that’s so the soft shackle can grab it and hold it still it catches the oblong section and the synthetic line rides the smooth surface with much less friction and much less energy than roller and steel cable

The ring in the video is very unique. It's made by Yankum Ropes. the hole in the center is offset, and prevents the ring from spinning. This allows the synthetic line to slide across the surface of the ring on it's outside line channel and through the center of the ring. That means you can loop the line over the outside line channels and back through the centers of both rings increasing mechanical advantage by up to four times. dual line soft shackles are required for mor than 2x mechanical advantage set ups. slower winching, but a massive increase in pull power. Also greatly reducing wear on the winch, battery & alternator.
