Sadly you can see the transition or missing transition to the hairpiece if you look closely. I'd personally not pay 1000$ for that. Not because the service isn't worth it. But because the maintenence is too stressful in the long run imho. Dope cut tho

I checked mickey da barbers prices for reference and I definitely feel that her work is worth the price. While the cut on his real hair was great I think the blending with the hair unit needed some work. So as is I don't it's worth it but if you can get to mickeys level then yeah. Also, I know you guys were just making things work but if I was to get a service like this, I would expect the unit to be closer to my hair texture

It's like estimating a plumbing job should be $1000 instead of $400 because you brought all the wrong pipes and now have to cut and weld them instead of just bringing the right size and threading them on. But more power to you man if you find clientele willing to pay $1000 even when you have the right wig and the cut takes less time to get crispy. i'm genuinely rooting for every entrepreneur to be able to charge the max they possibly can

I think you guys are forgetting the cost of the actual hair unit... he can reuse the unit. It is like a lace front wig type of thing, plus the hair cut and the installation of the unit. Afterward, since he now owns the unit, he will not be paying $1000 every time to re-attach it.

I've been watching your videos for a while. I'm so glad you are opening up to a wider audience. I've been wearing units for years. The most I've ever paid for the haircut, and style was $175 at Gene Juarez. I haven't had a professional cut since before the pandemic so I'm sure it's a bit higher now. The hair (which is real human hair) I purchase myself is always around $200. I would never pay $1000 for a cut that is so temporary. Just for PR, referring to the hair as "fake" isn't really accurate as the hair you buy is your choice. "Fake" may also feel derogatory to the people who purchase it and it perpetuates the stereotype that people should just go bald if they suffer from alopecia. The hair can be either real or synthetic depending on the customer's preference. I personally don't do synthetic because it's too easy to destroy it whereas real hair is far more forgiving to heat.
