I didn’t use any social media besides KZbin until this year. I tried IG and Twitter just to get in touch with a person. I never understood how twisted those places are. A bunch of mental illnesses and fakery. I’m happy with YT cause I get to learn so much. I rather enjoy real life, than look at fake stuff online.

I ditched most of them. I keep Telegram to chat to my friends in Russia. I ditched Facebook, but went on again to use Facebook Marketplace, but no “friends “ allowed. The people who matter to me, I see in real life or we text or speak on the telephone. Quite correct that if you’re not careful you can waste hours scrolling. Women are addicted to attention, and validation. The women with 1600 friends! 😆 are the ones who are lonely.

Social media was poison from the beginning. It used to be where your "friends" would go to brag, post 100's of pictures of their pets and crotch-fruit, "Good Morning" memes (What's so good about it?), or tell the world every little detail of their lives that nobody gives a rat's ass about. Oh and of course finding all those "lost" friends from high school... Ya know, there is a reason why you never maintained contact in the first place, right? That much hasn't changed, but now all social media is OVERRUN with scammers and catfishers, so now it's become a toxic wasteland anymore.

Never had a social media account.! I use my time as productive as possible. Yes, I only use KZbin to share my dancing videos, but that’s all. I think is a good source for business and to help society not to toxic society.! Be smart, if you don’t have to, don’t waste your time. Peace ☮️

My FB was exclusively for my local hobby groups. That was all that was on there. Suddenly around April maybe may. My feed was getting these pop ups of pick a random cause. I went through and blocked it for a while. Everything calmed down. Then towards the end August early September it was like a flood gate burst and my feed was flooded with B.S. then all of a sudden like every other post was racial group pride/history. The social agenda was full mask off. I just killed my FB. Told everyone locally why. Set up a discord server. Also looking at possibly setting up an email mailing list again... FFS I have not had one of those in over a decade.

Can anyone tell, are there any sources or research that can back up the claim that men are increasingly leaving social media? Sure even if the men are not so much into status comparison like women, thousands of female accounts provide soft to medium porn content free of any charge. In addition, people who are interested in funny videos, gadgets, cars, products, etc can find loads of content.
