Annoyingly the live cameras didn't give us a sense of how far back that chasing group was and it was only when Lutsenko peeled to the left of the road and looked over his shoulder that we were aware they were approaching. Then Bauke Mollema* bombs through out of shot, doing a van Vleuten, but bizarrely then sits up when he might've had enough momentum and enough of a drop on his rivals to at least podium. The rest of the chase group bridge, from which Tratnik goes over the top but is then swallowed up by the bunch sprint - the point at which this highlights vid harshly cuts to. You might want to check Lantern Rouge's channel for a better break down, which is where I'm now headed... ps. the early break had long since been swallowed up, somewhere between ten laps to go and two laps to go, when I got a few hours sleep! EDIT: *actually it might've been Pascal Eenkhoorn - or even Dylan van Baarle! It was one of the Dutchies, anyway...

Not specifically Pog's fault, the entire peloton did this to themselves. Everybody looking at each other, and every country saying "Well we got 1 from our country up ahead so we don't need to pull" even though not a single other country had a rider in the breakaway that could compete with Remco and they should've known it. Like look at the moment when Remco attacks, on the flat, 2:59. You got not one but TWO french riders at the front behind who just completely stop chasing Remco and look behind and decide "Eh, can somebody else bring Remco back pls?" which was pretty pathetic by the french team and was sort of a running theme. Belgium played this one to absolute perfection. Let Wout sit in the peloton so he can win a sprint, and let Remco attack solo so nobody can agree to chase.

The frame had some small scratches, but nothing major.I did replace the seat though - the seat it came with was very uncomfortable. The tires need to be re-inflated every 4-5 days, but this appears to be quite common for the narrow 700x25 tires.Overall, in my opinion, this bike looks and rides like a much more expensive bike.

UCI has a longstanding, terrible habit of killing of the experience of watching cycling by just offering stupid edits of short fragments. It's been a long time since anyone captured a Grand Tour, a Monument, and the rainbow jersey in the same season. But then, many top riders don't even ride all those races. Pro teams control everything, and they tend to turn their highest paid riders into one trick ponies. Remco is a machine, to be sure, but it was almost as if nobody even wanted to try to reel him in.
