My 7-ish (at the time) year old son and I went to Universal Studios during Christmas break in 2002. We did the MiB ride and the Doofus and Do-Right video became a running joke between us. One of us would say to the other in an exaggerated narrator voice, "Please, don't be a doofus. Thank you!" He's in his 20s now and we still laugh about that every once in a while.

The reason why you can't record is that you have to put all loose items in a locker before entering the ride. This is kind of to minimize the risk of items flying out of people's pockets and hitting other riders.
