The dunker was in the academy swimming pool. The pool was closed to everybody else when the dunker was in use.

The friendly jimmy-legs! In the 50s they did have the dunker at USNA.

No safety divers! At least we had that. No dunkers in Annapolis, they go through it in Pensacola during 2nd class summer training or at least they did in 1977… I took a more advanced version of a whole helo turning over to get certified to fly off shore to the oil rigs about 2013.
