Botond was a Hungarian historical figure. He was famous for being very strong. The vehicle is a genuine Hungarian design, and it was considered an excellent all-terrain truck. The spare tyres act as rollers and there you can see some additional rollers on the front as well.

Kézigránát means literally hand-grenade. Yes, that simple. :) You can easily pronounce kézi az K.Z. I can not give a simple word for gránát though. And yes, Danuvia is the latin name for river Danube that cuts Hungary in two.

FÉG stands for Fegyver És Gépgyár. (weapons and machinery factory. Yes, we have no fantasy. at all. :D ) You did pronounce it quite ok. Maybe saying "faghe" is close. The company still exists and still manufactures some small firearms, but it's main area of interest consists of gas heating stuff.

The markings on the Csaba are a little bit different from the german markings. the white cross is located in a red octagon, and between the white parts you have green. As to the Hungarian markings, if you look closer Sherman it is actually a Hungarian cross, using the colours of the Hungarian flag which by this point in history, was the Kingdom Of Hungary. Also the use of equipment by Hungarians of a "Germanic Reich" is not unusual seing as The Kingdom Of Hungary was a very important part of the very first-Reich..... The Holy Roman Empire ruled by the Habsburg dynasty rulling from the capital in Vienna(Wien).

Nooo in the Holy Roman Empire's time the Habsburg dinasty never ruled Hungary. After the battle of Mohács(1526)the last Jagello king died(II.Lajos). The first Habsburg king I.Habsburg Ferdinánd ruled the kingdom in 1526 - 1564. You think the king Zsigmond of Luxemburg(in 1387 - 1437) he was the emperor of the HRE and the king of the Kingdom of Hungary. The Hungarian Kingdom in 1699-1867 is really only the part of the Habsburg empire but 1867-1914 Hungary and the Habsburg dinasty is the Austro-Hungarian-Monarch(empire)

Hungary, and Romania lacked large military industry during wwii, so they borrowed or locally produced a lot of German and Austrian equipment. The helmet is German because the Hungarians didn't have their own helmet design. The faction is still put in because they did design some of their own vehicles and did borrow weapons from else where, like the Austrian rifle

chaosXP3RT True True, but actually the helmet design is from the First World War just they don`t change anything on it (as pretty much none of the countries, because HEY it`s just a helmet :D )

Dénes Réz-Nagy This kind of helmet is used AFTER the second world war at the "communist period". And this design is borrowed from the soviet army. (am en is magyar vagyok :P )

kasapanos aka satchel charge is a finnish design close range infantry at weapon,usually weights between 1-5 kilograms,basicly tnt moulded in to block shape covered with plywood and canvas and featured with pull igniter and time fuse similar to german handgrenades that were copied during 1920s.used against tanks during winter and continuation war. during winter war principle anti tank weapon with molotov cocktails .during continuation war replaced by at guns and the production of L-39 20 mm at rifle which had been a more common item after the late winter war. still whenever situation required utilized by infantry to take out hard points such as mg nests and other hard points.

The total number of the wonderfully designed TAS 44m tanks and tank destroyers ever built came to a grand total of... ... 1. The one and only tank prototype, and the blueprints for both it and the destroyer that was never made were lost in an American bombing raid in 1944. Now I feel like a 'Fantasy World of Tanks' troll :(

eeeboytvr Same goes for the Zrinyi I and Turan III (although the Turan III had 5 prototypes [I could be wrong]), but this way the game feels more balanced, in any case GSM gives factions (even major ones) quite many prototypes. (Some of the Hungarian prototypes almost reached production phase) P.S. Also let's not forget that even without any mods MOW:AS2 has Chi-to, Chi-ri, Ho-ri 1, Ho-ri 2 tanks...

Nope. They are heavily modofied L60s with a proprietary engine and gun, and completely independently upgraded from there.

The machine gun called Danube or i dont know is really weird but the gun is directly looking weard. Yust think about it....when you firts looked this machine gun you think this is a rifle. The snipers in the wars allways want to kill the machine gunner first. You're a russian sniper you want to kill the machine gunner but you dont find him so dont shoot him but his gun is a machine gun so thats why this gun is looking so weird :D :) (Sorry for my english i hope you understand me)

not all guns are copied german weapons. just sayin' Hungary inherited a domestic arms industry from the fractured empire, since if the austrians got a factory (steyr) the hungarians had to get one as well (feg). A bit like modern belgian politics. They of course had a lot of mannlichers, as it was the main ww1 rifle, which they started modifying etc. So a lot of their equipment (at the start of the war at least) was of their own design. Of course, as germany's control grows, they start adopting and producing more (modified) german designs. The austro-hungarian army adopted the m-1916 stahlhelm late in the war, so the hungarians stuck with it, a bit like many entente nations adopted the french 1915 adrian helmet.

We did in real life too. They were just built too late, and in to small numbers, since rnD didnt start until '40, when germany forced us to join, prototypes kept getting bombed, and uir industry was shit to begin with. A platoon of thos zrinyi assault guns was reported to have destroyed something like 40 T34-s without a loss at one point. But since there was about 400 of them built in total, while the russians had tens of thousands of tanks, it didnt really matter.

Well you butchered all the hungarian names in all possible ways! The german markings are there because our country was occupied by germany in WW2 so if we made something useful germany came in and declaired that ,they need that and they took it...so sad BUT we are a seperate nation in a game that is suprising!!!
