Men in general are very simple so they prefer simple fragrances rather than niche that have a very distinct smell. I love Danny´s participation, he is great! I would love to see their reaction to a best seller perfume in my country which is 212 Vip Rosé by Carolina Herrera, if possible. It is a very simple and feminine fragrance.

These are videos I like to watch that make me realize why “niche” doesn’t mean better. It’s just different , so much so that the masses won’t and can’t even appreciate it. I guess it is dependant on why are you buying fragrances. You either want to impress others or yourself. For me as a dude its 90% to give myself experience of complex fragrances and other 10% to impress others.Therefore i see buying some niche fragrances more as present to myself.

​@@LTKSCYour first mistake is believing that niche fragrances are somehow better than the others. Don't be fooled. Regardless of what they'd like you to believe, by putting big price tags on their fragrances, 95% of fragrances are made solely via synthetics/chemical compounds and that's it. Very few are made via distillation, expression and absolutes, extracted via naturals. It's not only extremely difficult to source ethically and responsibly but it's so unreasonably expensive. On top of that, say you do decide to use naturals and jack your prices of to make up for the cost. Then, IFRA decides to add one of the kep ingredients in your composition to the list of allergen inducing ingredients which may not be used in fragrance, any longer. (There are soooo many other reasons using natural ingredients is super expensive and exceptionally volatile. But this comment is already way too long.) Bottom line, your assumption is very wrong. Amouage used extremely expensive ingredients and is a middle eastern brand... Expensive for a reason. Not even as expensive as they should be. Parfums De Marley is expensive because people will pay it. Not because they use quality ingredients. It's the same with so many brands. Jeremy Fragrance made a video about how he researched and it would only cost him $6/per bottle (including world renowned perfumer making the juice) to create a fragrance. Then he went on about how perfume brands rip us off....Then, he made that fragrance brand and charged $250 to $350/ per bottle. People are paying it, that's what kills me. It's "Niche."

I feel like something that isn’t spoken on these videos is how skin chemistry can change the smell of these parfums. Burberry Goddess is horrid on me and disappears quite quickly. My sister pulls orange out of everything she wears. So everyone can’t wear the same scents…. Our chemistry just doesn’t work that way.
