And right there that is the problem in this day & age....People consider marriage & relationships as "Disposable" & get into relationships & marriage with the attitude that "oh its ok if I dont like it after a while I can just end it or get divorced". If u enter into a relationship or marriage with this attitude then just DONT! Commitment is now a dirty word. Long term relationships are not rainbows & butterflies for 100% of the time. There are up & downs that u need to work through as a couple to have any chance of longevity whatsoever. The problem with what she was saying is that she learned the wrong lesson and is teaching the wrong message. Which should be to not rush into getting engaged or married until you’ve spent a significant time with that person. And that includes going on vacations, living together, meeting their family and friends, etc etc. The amount of young people these days who get married before they’ve even ever lived together is baffling. That said, she is right that you shouldn’t feel forced to stay with someone if you’re miserable with them or whatever. But the point is that that’s gonna keep happening if you keep rushing into making a commitment.

I think a better example would be if someone breaks in, the guy is expected to put himself in danger to protect the home and her... yet if that same man is sick, throwing up in the middle of the night, how many women would be there to get him medicine, clean up after him, do what it takes to take care of him? A lot of chicks would say it isn't their responsibility, that they aren't his mommy, that they should go see a doctor. Some would probably even say it's an "ick" that he got sick in the first place.
