Watch this Race Snell Coe Ovett would of loved to race this man 200m speed isn’t good enough they can run the last 200 in 22-24 secs he cannot they would of sat on him just like this race & taken him on the last 100m

So pathetic from El Guerrouj. Once he's no longer the world record holder defeats like this will rise in prominence. He had everything his own way, including a teammate who sacrificed for him. Imagine Nordas volunteering to rabbit for Jakob. We'd never hear the end of it.

a teammate serving as a pacemaker is not "sacrifice", it is very usual .. El guerrouj has 7 of the best 10 recorded performances in 1500m outdoor, so I don't think this defeat would "rise in prominence" in the futur
