He's not a bottomless well that will just run and jump at multiple times per day and survive with his best energy in the finals. The kid is in great health, but they can destroy it by asking him to do too much.

Aside from that 1 National championship it’s been so surprising to see how difficult it is for him to consistently shine at the national meet

Not surprising. The attention he receives would lead you to believe he's better than he actually is. For the record he has yet to break 10 seconds in the 100 or 20 seconds in the 200. I'm not saying he's not good but he's definitely overrated.
