@@marcusaurelius5149 how was it a false start? did he actually start before the gun or within the 0.1 after the gun which is the minimum reaction time? i think it's kinda hard to believe someone manages to start exactly before they shoot as it's random guess, if that's what happened. If he just started before the gun i guess it would have been disqualified anyways and people wouldn't talk about it.

damn, bummed for micah. I raced against him quite a few times in high school. going into my senior year, based on the previous year being the one where all the other top sprinters had graduated which left me being the fastest one in the district, I was supposed to be the one to beat until micah showed up and just demolished everyone without even trying. he was a cool dude, didn't really talk much but its high school track so who cares. I was very very impressed by him and so was everyone else. regardless, i performed my best, made it to state for all my events, was surrounded by tons of awesome team mates and it is cool seeing someone I raced against go so far so fast in his track career. wishing the best for him.

Since his best time was 6.59 coming into the competition I didn't think he'd even make the final. Winning his heat is just stunning. But since it was basically a three-way tie for first and the guy from the first heat ran a faster time, they're just aren't any favorites to win the race. Normally I'd say I don't expect him to place because this really isn't his race but every break seems to go his way so maybe he'll do it one more time. Pretty cool to PR in the preliminary heat. Just making it to an NCAA final in the 60 is a great accomplishment. Jones is a freshman and I don't feel too bad for him but I'm crushed for Micah because I really thought he would win.

The pressure to execute a good 60m when ur in the top 5 in the world is hard to compose yourself I guess when ur as young as these guy's but with age n experience u hold ur composure better. Sad to see such talent be DQ'd in the 1st round. But how sweet to watch the development of Matt Boiling and doing 60m-400m is unbelievable. I remember many many yrs ago reading results in an Athletics magazine (B4 internet) n Carl Lewis was in a very rare 400m race which he done in 47.1sec, now compare that to what matt can do and many many more sprinters in the USA ATM it's looking very good for American sprinting as a whole. Will Jamaica have an upsurge like this very soon along with other brilliant sprinters from around the world, we might see an all 8 sprint race this year where all 8 go under 10sec? It wud be great to see. Irish sprint fan reporting here 🇮🇪🏃‍♀️🥇🥇🏃‍♀️🇮🇪

i wanna see how he does in a 100m dash. clearly this guy has some top end speed that is limited by a 60m race. would be interesting to see if he can do a sub 9.9

what's amazing to me about boling is how many things he can improve.

Would have loved to see Matt Boling in orange and white showing that speed in the Thompson-BOLING Arena!

Boling is a power sprinter. His best race is actually the 400. However, he runs a great 200 and he runs a very fast 100. He even looks like a Greek God. LOL
