The USA continuing its long time tradition of screwing up its 4x100 relays. It doesn’t help that the rest of the world outside of Jamaica is catching up, with several African and European countries running as fast as ever. Even Brazil who’s only getting faster (they currently have an 18 year old who’s run 10.01 this year that nobody is paying attention to). Edit: The Brazilian athlete is actually 19, U20.

OMG. It's incredible how the US women's squad passes the baton so crisp and seamlessly but the men continue to stifle their speed with terrible exchanges. LOL!! You type people never know who you're exposing your stupidity to... And I also know perfectly well, how plagued the USA men's 4x100 squad has been by horrible 6th grade level baton passing execution lately; in contrast to the women who usually execute it in perfect progression more often than not. BTW, TheBeautifulLie perfectly describes your intellect on this matter. Now mute yourself on the subject Whiteknight! LMAO!
@baihu4u
@baihu4u 10 ай бұрын
@@evansusmc They definitely have. It happens to everyone eventually for a multitude of reasons; at their level it's frequently due to a throttled up mix of uncontrolled anxiety and adrenaline igniting when you see your teammate approaching and misjudge his speed as he's approaching in a tight race and you 'get out' too early, accelerating too fast. I've fallen victim to this a couple of times back in my day in big races as the 3rd leg man, hyper aware that I was the final 'setup man' responsible for making sure our 'closer' got the stick in best position for victory. Just seems the women's team is executing their passes more precisely, more consistently than the men lately; for whatever reason... One factor could be the men seem to swap & mixup their lineups for the finals more frequently than the women which can definitely create the type of problems they've been having.

The USA is blessed to have so many sprinters who can run in the 9.8 range, and ALL of these usually anchor what ever relay they run in their respective regions. They usually receive the baton from a very good runner who runs 10.10, or maybe 10.0?. The US is also a very huge country so these great runners come from all over the country and don't get to practice together for an extended time before a competition. If you've never seen a 9.88 coming at you, full speed, knees pumping and arms swinging, it's hard to imagine the power and speed of these athletes.Imagine Christian Coleman coming off the curve right at you.!!!!!!

This is a show of Africa's children living in South America, the Caribbean, The U.S., Great Britain, Canada and Europe. Whereever we live, 'others' seek to discriminate us because of their insecurities. Yet, in the words of Maya Angelou, "We rise". These men on the track are all winners. Africa wins, again. I was hoping that the representatives from my country of birth would have taken the gold. Still, there are other chances ahead. Congratulations to all 32 Champions on the field.

That was a team win tbh.. that Final hand off was better by Canada. The USA had the faster team, but failed on that final handoff. So De Grasse got a flying start, while the USA stalled their flying start and momentum with poor delayed handoff. We would see them neck and neck at the finish line otherwise.. De Grasse did his thing though, he wasn't going to be ran down.

It´s remarkable how long Rodney "pushes" his teammate after the pass, he keeps running and yelling for quite long. Far longer than the other runners. Psyhology of the team.

DeGrasse pasted him. Had nothing to do with the baton pass.

America was in the lead, but their last baton exchange erased their lead. So congrats to Canada for the win 🙏🏽
