Awesome finish! Felt a little bad for Dedmon because he put in such a great run, but was excited for the Kentucky runner for holding on by a whisker!

Sucked! Why they didn't have Boling on that leg is stupid

I thought he would at least split 47 but nope, 51. That's just sad.

How can Georgia be that bad?
@ea10133 жыл бұрын
Georgia's literally running as fast if not slower than some high school teams, Godwin and Boling carried the team indoors, if Boling showed up it probably would have been under 3:10, i'll say 3:09, which, is not at all impressive for a D1 collegiate school. And I also have to comment on the fact that Godwin's lead leg was under 45 seconds, 44 mid maybe?

You act like every single DI school in the country is going to be running 3:05 or faster. That's NOT the case and unfortunately not every single DI school has the money or the opportunity or luck rather, to land 4 or 5 solid quarter-milers or sprinters in general who can run sub 47. If you look at the Olympics alone literally only 3 countries most of the time even dip under 3 min so in comparison a college team let alone a DI college team at that going 3:09 is not bad. And you are legit comparing their times to the FASTEST high schools in the nation not to mention during this year the fastest High School in the nation only ran 3:13. The national record is only a 3:07 and that was set in the 80's so Idk where you get your calculations from but Georgia running a 3:09 is FAR from being "as fast if not slower than some high school teams".

@@kennethcoleman1378 Only 3 countries most of the time dip under 3 minutes? That's just not true, look at the 4x400 results from Tokyo this year. And I did say 'some high school teams', not the average of high school teams. I also think you're forgetting that Georgia ran 3:13 in this race, not 3:09; I was talking about a hypothetical situation. The fastest American High School time in the nation was also 3:13, so my statement saying that they were collectively running as fast as some high school teams is correct. I'm just a viewer who's used to seeing college teams under 3:10, because those are the only teams anyone cares about leading up to nationals. I don't do my research on EVERY team, and Georgia literally ran 3:04 indoors during NCAAs earlier this year so of course I would expect much more from them.
@kennethcoleman13782 жыл бұрын
@@ea1013 well clearly you don't do your research otherwise you would know they didnt run their A team in this race....you literally dogged them as if they were trash without properly knowing anything in that sense. It set me off because im tired of seeing people comment as if they know how the entire circuit operates. A lot of teams will not run their legit squad if there is no reason to ESP leading up to NCAAs. No point running a studded relay at conferences when you have east regionals and NCAAs and olympic trials and hopefully olympics for your top studs.
@ea10132 жыл бұрын
@@kennethcoleman1378 Ok, so you expect all casual fans to know how collegiate teams operate prior to regionals and nationals? Yeah, I think I've had enough talking to you, maybe don't expect everyone you meet to know everything and then shit on them for not knowing everything, instead of politely educating.

NCAA's will be even more interesting. 1) N.Carolina 3:00.23 2) LSU 3:01.00 3) Texas 3:01.28 4) Kentucky 3:01.71 5) Texas A&M 3:01.73

@@BrayoFitnessTrainer All those teams going sub 3, mark my words. It's unwise to be this confident but when everyone's running so fast and SECs just happened, you've got to think even Texas A&M could put together something along the lines of 2:59.6.
