USA overcame disqualification for a rule infringement on Day 1 and India overcame withdrawal due to an on-track injury to qualify for the Paris Olympics on Day 2, albeit in unseeded positions. Mexico and Kenya ran great races and pushed hard but just couldn't beat India at the death

I thought it was a close call, but they were 10 yards ahead. How'd the officials mess that up. At the same time, they were 10 yards ahead, the official could have put them in lane 8 and it wouldn't matter.

​@sfurcron the official didn't mess up. They place the athletes based on where the incoming athletes are at the 200m mark. The US was in 3rd at that point, which is why Champion Allison was placed in the 3rd position. He messed up by moving to first position
