It looks like a typical cross town rivalry. No fist were thrown. I personally think it might be good for the sport. A little more excitement might bring more fans of the sport.

as a former Bruin trackster...it was bad behavior on both sides....they should not be allowed to be on the the track to cheer and block lanes

Why weren't the athletes om the field like they should be? Wrong on the athletes and refs part

Tbh, a lot of the comments are negative but I think a lot of people drift away from track because it has no personality or competitiveness. This was actually pretty funny and entertaining to see. Obviously we don’t need huge commotions but some personality is nice.

With just these 2 teams running I think the antagonizing was just a part of the rivalry and at the end they represented their schools...that's all, all fun...the coaches made it bigger than what it was

I’m an SC Grad, and former track athlete. As much as I like to see USC win, that was a display of pretty poor sportsmanship. You go as hard as you can all the way across the line, period.

I'm a UCLA grad and I feel the same way! I'm actually ashamed to call myself a Bruin and that Bruins and Trojans represented their respective schools in such a deplorable fashion. My girlfriend, ironically, is a USC grad and sure we get on each other's case when it comes to the rivalry but even she was embarrassed by the attitudes and behaviors of these athletes. This is completely unacceptable behavior!

How embarrassing between the 2 schools. The coaches on each team having to step in to stop the teams
@rocknro1620 Жыл бұрын
Poor sportsmanship on both sides. You never taunt in the middle of a race! As an SC alum it was a great win but our anchor runner needs to JUST RUN. Keep it classy & let your legs do the talking. ✌
@JohnHoulgate Жыл бұрын
I'm happy to see USC win the relay, but that was pretty classless on both sides. The Bruin 2nd leg must have counted on the third and fourth legs to hold the lead he gave them. The hand signaling by both teams was so unnecessary. Is anyone giving these kids any guidance about how to behave like an adult?

@@thatracklife6550 : Thank you for the context. The overall meet for the men was already decided but this 4X4 win gave USC something to celebrate. Love the rivalry. Steeped in so much meaningful history.

If I were coaching these teams, I would have string words for them. Never look back. Don't congratulate yourself before breaking the tape. Don't taunt. ....so much ugly, unprofessional behavior here

Those 2 guys disrespected the sport, the colours of their school, their parents and themselves. If these two renown institutions of higher learning represents the right values then these shameful behaviours shouldn’t be condone and the two athletes should be banned from the sport
