what's crazy is people saying these guys aren't on the same level as Olympic lifters or how crossfit is not a legit sport etc... bro this is by far the most legitimate weight lifting sport imo. in the aspect of a life or death standpoint this is the training that would make you most capable of surviving. it's risky as far as injury goes don't get me wrong but to be able to lift like this run and have endurance? yeah thats got to be the peak of human form.

People who hate on crossfit are just sore bc they know they wont be able to keep up with the workout, they know they’re not as strong, fast, or have enough endurance. The point of crossfit isnt solely to lift as heavy as possible or to get bigger. You can’t judge navy seals training for not giving them enough sleep, too much tension on muscles and joints, or improper forms bc they’re literally too tired. Crossfit is to get fit in every aspect just like the military style training. Those athletes know what they’re doing. I was in the army and i loved crossfit as they were actually helpful to get fit for trainings and stuff. I only do weightlifting now but i still have respect for crossfit.

If you want gain more strength it usually alot of factors come to play make sure you eat enough food and the right macros for you and low reps on your sets and train at least 80% of your pr till you feel the lift is easier once the weight feels more comfortable then you move up in weight by small increments like 15 pounds
@buttix9429

Nobody gets to a 295 clean without having an effective regiment, Obviously you know how to workout and get stronger. I'm also certain this isn't the place to ask for advanced clean advice given most of the people in this comment section have probably never lifted that much.

@@inky4690 in weightlifting, there are currently 3 catches: power, split, squat. CrossFit only taught what’s most popular. Obviously, the power supposedly catches the least amount of weight, split catches more, and then finally the squat catches the most. So a split clean is like a split snatch, which is like a split jerk. A power clean, is like a power snatch, which is like a power jerk. A squat clean, is like a squat snatch, which also is like a squat jerk. It’s all pretty consistent in weightlifting, which Fraser has a background in

The commentators are unintentionally funny sometimes and annoying the rest of the time. I would prefer just music in the background.

I really want to see Clarence Kennedy in the CrossFit games. He snatches 385 for a warm up.
@tjcogger1974
@tjcogger1974 3 жыл бұрын
Clarence would dominate the snatch, clean and jerk, and deadlift. But he'd come in dead last in every other event. He wouldn't even be able to keep up with the women. Don't get me wrong, Clarence is a beast. But he's an Olympic lifting specialist.

@@tjcogger1974 HE also did gymnast stuff and he does tricking as well, believe me he would take some them on a few other events. But he would surely have trouble with endurance events
@tjcogger1974
@tjcogger1974 2 жыл бұрын
@@five7579 Clarence has never trained any gymnastics. Only tricking and acrobatics. There are no tricking events in CrossFit. He could certainly learn all the CrossFit gymnastic skills pretty quickly if he wanted to, but gymnastics is really a only a small aspect of CrossFit. Pretty much everything in CrossFit is endurance based. There's very few events that are pure displays of raw power/strength. Even all the gymnastic events are endurance based. (AMRAP muscle-ups for time, AMRAP ring hand stand pushups for time, etc.). Knowing how to perform the skill efficiently is only the first step.

The guy is a gifted athlete. No doubt he would dominate in any weightlifting event. With some training I'm sure he would do well in other events as well.
