❤️ if you've never been to a pow wow put it on your bucket list. Everyone has a great time and in good company. People travel all over the country to gather together and share. Everyone is on the same rhythm. Drums go through the night. My daughter could barely stand up when she started feeling the drums and the rhythm i just played a video like this and she was bouncing to the beat immediately. It's in our souls. People hate what they don't understand. Thank you for showing your love ❤️

I use to pow wow from the 70's to the early 90's. Is this a newer thing to dance backwards? I was always taught go forward in the dance circle/arena.

This whole comment disrespectful.

@@ypxgenuine I made a comment based on a FACT why are you offended?
@dominic_lf42403 жыл бұрын
@@meimei295 i don't think you have to go forwards in fancy dances considering their purpose is to be entertaining and doesn't have strict tradition ^_^

In traditional dance you arent supposed to go backwards because it symbolizes retreating from the enemy in battle. In fancy dance it doesnt matter

I can't even imagine how long that regalia takes to make or how much it costs!
@bearoflifu43242 жыл бұрын
It depends what you want for a regalia they can cost around 200 to 800 even to 1000 for some and could take a month or 3🤗

A lot of times they make it or have their family help. Or pieces are gifted to them.

I have never felt the urge to appear like a bird. the one great thing about humans is their ability to think abstractly. Pretending to act like an animal is on the other end of the life spectrum.
