i never watching indoor cycling will be this enjoyable

This is not Indoor Cycling, it is Track Cycling. Track Cycling is the same sport on outdoor tracks as it is on indoor. High level competition is all on indoor tracks these days but outdoor tracks are widely used. Indoor Cycling is completely different. It has two disciplines: Radball and Ballet. Radball is weird but impressive and Ballet is just weird. Look for vids. Indoor Cycling is popular in the German-speaking countries, iiuc.

@@the-fsb i guess i meant track cycling. i have not much idea of cycling disciplines. it was the first time watched madison race. really like it

@@vishaltripathy3620 Track racing is *THE BEST*. It's incredibly intense. And the Madison is my favorite. It's extremely technical, very dangerous, wicked fast, thrilling, and athletically demanding. At the high levels, the 60 km race is over in about an hour. One of the high points of my life was racing the Madison at masters nationals and not finishing last.

@@the-fsb thats great. I am not much of a outdoor sports guy. But I like the mindgame involved in this race. I mean it is so difficult to calculate when to attack an coordinate the same with your teammate in only the seconds you get. amazing. wish I get to see such races more. I only found a very few

@@vishaltripathy3620 Such mind games are common in road and track racing but are especially intense in track. In addition to Madison, the Kerin, miss-and-out and points races, and match sprints all require understanding your and your opponents strengths and weaknesses relative to each other and how to exploit them in the race.

I know this is OLD but what is with the music ? They are pedaling to the beat until sprint's.
@mindciller6 жыл бұрын
I like the old format from 2016 when cav and Wiggins won it without the extra 20 points for taking a lap. It forces better sprints instead of hanging off the back of taking a lap and ruining the sprint enthusiasm of the bunch to snag the 5 additional points while lapping the field. In this format it's more like a hard tt instead of sprinting and pursuit

what type of bike did they use ? this is the first time I watch this type of bike race
@heatherg85173 жыл бұрын
The use track bikes with a fixed gear. They are also sometimes called fixed gear bikes.
@mynameisjeff8693 жыл бұрын
Those bikes are very simple and light without any brakes, they had just one hardest gear which is fixed so you have to pedal all the time and you can sort of brake by carefully slowing the pedals.

I don’t understand hand slinging...
@brianblanchard40145 жыл бұрын
It's basically a relay race, and the hand slinging allows the rider to transfer their momentum to the partner during the exchange.
