An impressive kick by Beadlsecomb, didn't expect such a sprint from him. That finish with Romo and Beadlescomb reminded me of Centro and Makhloufi back in Rio. If Beadlescomb didn't get boxed in he would have taken the win, but it's great that he's taking every mile race he's competing in to really filter out his talent and the way he wants to race.

True...not every race is going to be a Rudisha "track on fire" type of race....although we wished. But don't watch this holding your breath waiting for someone to make a move. They basically jogged the 1st half (02:10!! half).

@jakerussell135

some races are fast, some races are tactical, some are in between. this is one of the tactical ones. In those races, there's always a pack at the front waiting for someone to make a move. Another example of this is the 1500 in the Rio olympics in 2016. The world record is 3:26, but the winner got around 3:50. In tactical races like these, it's not down to endurance, but more top end speed

In the mile they take quarter mile splits, not 400m splits since it isn’t a 1600
@TheRed800
@TheRed800 2 жыл бұрын
@@dekaiaverett3265 so to run a mile on a 400m track you back the start up a little over 9 meters. The splits are taken from finish line to finish line. Regardless of whether 440yards is a quart of a mile, the splits are 400m. This is why the official splits are 209m, 409m, 809m etc. the split between 409 and 809 is 400m. Calling out 440y never makes sense.
