Fade is squished, this is what happens when you set your bald line too high and try and make it look like a mid fade when it really should of been a high fade with the first bald line.

I question my fading skills sometimes but after watching this video and seeing the comments rating this haircut I feel I’m doing alright, and I don’t mean that in a disrespectful way I’m genuinely feeling more confident now.
@wymanbarber6 жыл бұрын
I personally like the European fades, it’s a different take on them with more weight rather than a flush blend found in American fades. That is a slick haircut that’ll grow out well though, unlike some American barbers that cut into the hairline just to get a sharp line for instagram. That cowlick seemed tricky though...
@Beardbrand6 жыл бұрын
It seems like the European fade style is a bit more laid back, the transitions aren't so dramatic - Jack
@KHR327fan6 жыл бұрын
I agree. There's nothing wrong with either. Just because the blend isn't as smooth, it looks heavier or the transition zone isn't very big, doesn't mean it's a bad haircut. All due respect to American style barbers too, their blending skills are killer. The scissor cutting on this channel is so helpful, much more of a salon reality for stylists like myself.

@cyncitycutz66286 жыл бұрын
I didn't take the time to read all of the comments on this video, but being a barber myself, the video of this haircut shows this barber doing double the work. He made a skin guideline and then another guideline under the skin guideline and then another guideline using the foil shaver and then another blend between the shaver line and the other guideline. It's just a waste of time. I don't know how many clients this barber has waiting or if he's by appt only but he added about 15 minutes to this cut unnecessarily. I don't care what kind of bald fade ur doing, there is a universal process to start. 1. Use trimmers to make skin guideline. 2. Use foil shaver up to about a half inch from skin guideline and flick to make sure ur not creating another guideline from the shaver. 3. Go right into blending with the magic clips open, and then blend down to that skin guideline until the magic clip blade is closed. Once you get to the crown of the head, it should be scissor over comb, cuz a faux hawk goes higher on the crown. That's the kind of hairstyle it is. This cut shouldn't take anymore than 35 minutes.
