Ma Lin wasnt traditional penholder, he could play rpb albeit not as often as wang hao

@@dominikk8547 Players who use RPB don't have to rely on it. Ma Lin's style is built mainly upon his precise control, single sided techniques and forehand, which are the core of traditional penhold. It's unfair to classify someone as modern penholder just because he have RPB. Even Liu Guoliang use RPB sometimes but I'm sure no one would consider him a non-traditional penholder.

Poor Wang Hao. Never a gold medal in Singles Olymics. A three time silver medalist. Nevertheless, a great achievement. It is good to see him still active with his old team. Coaching the new generation of want to be Olympians.

He didn't even deserve to be in this final. Wang Liqin should have been in the final, but the Chinese team rigged the semi final result to ensure Wang Hao would make the final against Ryu as he had never lost to Ryu previously.

Ryu Seung Min foi o último grande caneteiro (J-penholder) do tênis de mesa, infelizmente é um estilo morto, pouco presente em campeonatos de grande importância. Talvez Cazuo Matsumoto seja o último que tenha atingido bons desempenhos jogando do mesmo modo. Ademais, Ryu possuía o melhor Forehand e Footwork dentre todos os caneteiros da história, apesar de ter um Backhand aquém do seu nível, servindo apenas para rebater. Complemento dizendo que Kim Taek Soo foi o caneteiro mais completo em todos os sentidos, Cazuo foi o caneteiro com melhor backhand da história e Hugo Hoyama fez seu papel auxiliando na popularização do esporte na América.
