I'm 62 and I have never had a woman offer her sympathy or empathy toward me. Just because someone does not have a family member or a roommate living with them does not mean that they are automatically suffering from loneliness. Some people have seen the dating world, lived life, learned a few things, and have come to the conclusion that relationships are not all they are cracked up to be, and it's a lot more beneficial to their quality of life to remain single and that makes them happy, not lonely.

Took me a long time as well because my son’s mom and I were co-depended from one another. She wants me back, but I refuse to because of what we have done to one another. Erm, almost no women are sociopaths. A small minority has anxiety issues. Drama? Depends. Your personal issues, trauma, parenting, whatever may have predisposed you to look for women that are narcissists, trauma sufferers themselves or even borderline personality disorder (which is the only version of "she's too much drama" I'll accept as valid).

As a mom of 5 men I can tell you it is hard. Some are choosing aloneness because the pickings are slim. So many women have unrealistic expectations. When I married my husband 4 decades ago we started with nothing and built our life together.

The feminist movement of the late '60s failed. Instead of encouraging men to adopt the best qualities of women, they pushed women to adopt the worst qualities of men. Today, finally I have peace with my little cat. I go and come as I please. Whatever women think that they offer to men is not worth the grief that comes along with that relationship. My mom and all my aunties were great women, were great homemakers, were respected by men for the qualities the had in them. That was the generation that married after the end of World War Two. We will never see women like that again. All lost. Men are not lonely but rather they finally figured out the schemes of so-called modern women. No thank you. Go Away!!!
