Interesting. You’re the Question Queen, I’m the Answer Jester. I’ve only been in a few altercations over my many years. I try to use humor to deescalate situations. At times, it is healthy to let our guards down and showing empathy by shedding tears can achieve a mutually beneficial outcome.

If my comment can help other commenters here, here's my contribution: I can say that practicing Stoicism for 30 years is what changed me for the better and now I am able to say that the last time I got angry was in July of 2014. Anger againt others is never a solution but managing all other emotions is important too. My "go to" solution if I need a good cry is watching James Blunt "Monsters" or his new "The girl who never was". Give it a try, it only takes practice and you will become a better version of yourself.

Glad he survived because to a subset of patients, paroxetine - the alleged active ingredient - is a k!ller ("Paxil" in the US, "Seroxat" over here). The one message this man needs to hear is to seek professional help to ween him off this unsafe & ineffective substance.
