Menagerie Sugar High Palette | Swatches and 4 Looks

Hello, Samantha from Menagerie Cosmetics popping in! :) I just wanted to make a public note that we have not changed our matte formula and the swatching experience is most likely due to our new pressing machine settings. It is nearly impossible to get the same kind of press across different shades because each pigment has different densities and binding qualities (lake dyes vs oxides vs heavy titanium shades), if that makes sense. We found that shades with a lot of titanium will just press more firmly than oxides or shades with very little titanium dioxide with the same machine press settings. However, it is correct that the metallic base formula has been improved since our Serenity & Flight Club launches and I’m happy to see so many people enjoying them! :D

Those metallics looked like butter on your eye lids. I always love Menagerie Cosmetics always come out with a great collection and formula.

I was able to snatch this palette up and I do really like it a lot, that blue is super pigmented & the shimmers/duo chromes are beautiful. I do wish there was a darker matte, to deepen things up. I really really loved how the 3rd look turned out, with the shimmer on the inside $ outside. Look # 2 was beautiful as well, I mean they all are but #2 & 3 were my faves. 💜💙💗

I totally agree that something is missing. The deepest russet color will really muddy a look if combined with half of the other mattes. There are tons of rainbow palettes, so for me I want to have more options than this palette offers. I just purchased the Nomad Paradise Island palette, and I love that it can provide very colorful looks but also more monochromatic looks as well. While this palette is lovely, for me it would be considered a companion palette. Finally, you were not kidding when you said the colors appear different in the photo than they do in real life. Almost all of the colors in the photo look darker or brighter than they are. Thank you so much from your reviews! They really do help me to not purchase something I would be disappointed in.

Sugargliders are so frickin' adorable and the texture of shimmers/metallics looks really really good. I wonder if they plan to reformulate older palettes? However, yeahhhh I am not very inspired by the colourstory and I wish there had been a blueberry or deep orchid purple shade in place of that brown. Oooh or a green apple/kiwi matte shade somewhere.

i generally liked their mattes before they redid everything but i never liked their shimmers. good to hear that the shimmers have gotten much better.

I agree the mattes seemed toned down on the one side but your swatches look super promising on those shades... the Metallics look so yummy im so happy menagerie upgraded... wet and shiny is what I love.... but I do agree the shimmers look dark to the mattes.. and I would of loved some deep shades of mattes... overall I do love this palette and of course the packaging 😍... All your looks were so fun and pretty 😍

I love this palette, but yes I agree that the palettes color story is missing something. Honestly when I saw the 1st reveal of it I thought the multichromes were in the palette not being sold separately which had me freaking out over the palette until I found out differently lol..Can't wait to see what you think of the multichromes on your next video! The palette needs either a darker blue or purple. It needs a bit more depth. Very pretty though! Love watching your videos for inspiration, your looks always turn out so different than what I usually do!

I was excited when they switched all of their singles & palettes to circle pans last month! Also, yes they have a sugar glider named Ruby! I like the palette but it lacks depth for SURE. I'm def going to switch out one of the shades for a deep matte 🙌 *forgot to mention, I totally agree on the mattes, they feel different! The shimmers in this palette are really really beautiful & I feel like for once, I'm more into the shimmers in a menagerie palette than the mattes! Never expected that!

I have always had naturally long lashes, but I’ve switched between different lash serums in the last 5 or 6 years at least. Right now Im using UK lash

Shimmers look beautiful. Are some of these smooth and opaque? I keep getting subpar shimmers, lackluster toppers and the like on palettes im buying and im annoyed.

What a lovely palette! But i must ask what do you mean when you say "i sprayed my brush" would love to recreate some of these looks but i have no idea what you mean by that xx

When working with shimmers you can spray the brush with setting spray, or just water, after you pick it up. It helps it stick better to the eye. 🤗

@@Reias85 make sure you dip the brush is shadow then spray don't spray first then dip unless you want hard pan and spray can be done with water Mac fix+ my favorite or setting spray
