Jeff Stone does a thorough review of Triumph's ST Sprint and takes it out for a spin to test its performance, practicality and style. Not only is the Sprint brilliant at handling, the engine produces an incredible 108 BHP.

My 2000 955i is one of the best bikes I’ve ever owned… and I’ve been riding for over 30 years.

As he says it all dos'nt leave much to add,, except after 115000 KMs on the clock and 22 years mine goes still the same, love it the best bike I have had. Sell any other in the garage except the 955. The only thing that I can call an issue is that it does over steer when pressed.

I bought one last year for £750 with panniers - liked it so much I just got another without luggage for £610 - best bargain in biking these days.

Love this bike. Fuel gauge, center stand, seat, windscreen/fairing are all nice extras i miss on my '01 S3. Only thing i would change is to put an undertail exhaust as it shows off the great look of the 3spoke singlesided wheel. Of couse I would re-map the fueling to give me the same 120hp i have on my speedie.

You know it's a great bike when the complaints section of the review is like "well the high beam indicator is a little bright and IDK about the color of the speedo."

A lot of these M&M reviews are over 20 years old now and should imagine Jeff has probably retired now but always found his reviews great (along with Paul Johnston) On the other hand that Francesca Robinson (despite being a bit of eye candy) as a reviewer was rather useless and her reviews were very short and basic.

I owned both an ST 955i and RS 955i. Both good bikes but not terribly attractive and really heavy and rather wide. I could never get quite comfortable on either: the RS bars are in better location as they are a little lower and much more forward. The ST bars are too sit-up-and-beg. But the RS foot pegs are farther back (same part, but mounted differently on frame) and it just isn’t too comfy for a 6’2 rider. Still some of favorite motos because the engine is so raw and pure - not refined but incredible grunt when you ask for it. Speed triple is much more handsome but you really need a fairing to enjoy these bikes on long hauls

Too painful to watch past 2:45. I owned a 2001 ST; same color except for the wheels (silver); very decent motorcycle otherwise. Spotty dealer network unfortunately. Big city dealer I bought the bike from went to shit under a new owner but found a much smaller and worthwhile dealer 125 miles away. Sadly, my current 2008 ST has worse headlamps (good low beam (dip) to complete crap high beam (main) compared to the 2001) and the same shitty gear shifting. Still love it, probably due to its sound, styling, decent handling, and it gets attention (due to the name) everywhere I go. Wondering what John Bloor's real estate developments are like.

Technically it is good bike, but it is awful from ergonomics point of view The design is not friendly at all with any modifications for personal comfort
