I like this because I'm a Bmw fan. :) Actually this is better, the mid engine configuration is the proper track car. Renault builds many other nice acecars like the RS 01

Owned a 03 plate brand new, what a horrible car to drive in the wet of Scotland but what it sound it made from the engine behind my left ear. Drank petrol like crazy, had to fight people off from sitting on it and taking photos on a daily basis. But even after all that I’d still buy another one again. And every boy racer within 100 miles will try and race you lol

Since it was never sold here, it would have to pass all required safety and emissions tests before it could be driven on the roads so unless you're willing to let NHTSA crash one first, that option is pretty much out. You'd have to wait until it turns 30 years old.

Only Renault would put a V6 engine in the middle of a supermini. Nissan can do the same by stuffing the same V6 engine and the AWD system from the GT-R inside the Micra. After all, Nissan is under Renault ownership.

The easiest way to find one is probably to go in France ... but it still very expensive (~25000 € euros for a phase 1 and ~ 30000€ for a phase 2)

dazzaburger the reason why they're going up in price is because you wont be able to see another production hatchback with a MR layout besides the Renault 5 Turbo. Also they were kind of limited to about 4000 cars produced. Too bad these never came to the US like most cars I desire.

I think pugs go even worse....i know french cars isnt that more reliable compared to german cars (i owned both a peugeot 405 n 90s merc e class n 405 almost overheated itself while the e class stays cool n its switchgears atill work although constantly needing ac freons)
