I've just traded my 07 Z1000 in for an 03 RSV Mille. I had a Mille three years ago. I came into some money and traded it in for a Daytona 675, then after a year I missed it so bad, I went looking for another Gen1 or Gen 2, so much rubbish around. I got fed up and bought the Zed on a whim. A year on that and I finally found one in a dealers in Bristol! I rode the 120 miles home absolutely LOVING it. I'm back in the game!!

I had a Mille for two and half years, never let me down in 9000 miles. 100% a great bike. A lovable grisly bear of a bike.

Decent review, great bike, bought a standard Mille in 1999, loved in, now in 2021 I have just picked up a 2000 Mille R. Not fast and furious by today's standards but a great bike to ride with a killer sound.

I love this guy's reviews this is 20 years old though, I hope he's still around. There was an RSV for sale near me for about 4500

Sold my last one two years ago.(I've never owned the R version). Bought another regular version in February 2020. Just before lockdown. 2003 facelift Gen1. 21k. I've now ridden 8000 miles on it to day. That's how much I've enjoyed it during lockdown. Just given it a major service and the valve clearances were spot on. They'd NEVER been checked. Only weakness on these from my experiences is the sprag clutch. But this has a new one fitted recently and I've had the electrical upgrade kit from Aprilia performance. Just love this bike.

What do you think guys, a local is selling one with 50k miles. Should i even consider a race bike with that much mileage???

I have the 2000R. I think I'll get that one next. I like the tank and the air molds on the windshield.

2001 you could buy a house in the midlands for £50k so it was a lot of money.
@doomfathertm87713 жыл бұрын
@@zedddddful You cant use house prices as a representation of inflation, the thing you look at is wages. Minimum wage has only gone up £200 a month since 2001. Look at it this way, in the 60's you could of got a house for £7000 on a wage of £500 a month, a person doing that same job today would get £2000 a month BUT that house would now cost £450,000. Alas the inflation of house prices is extreme and has no representation of anything else.

R stands for no "Right" indicator". I want to know how Jeff indicated to go right, as there isn't a right indicator fitted, or is that part of the package too, to stick your arm out?

Nice review. The previous gas tank was not nylon. The 98-2000 gas tank was steel.
@l337luvr4 жыл бұрын
Only the Mille SP had a metal tank. My 2000 R is nylon and the specifications of all the models are given in the owner's manual.
