I have a Tonex pedal and couldn’t really find a capture I liked. I was thinking that maybe I am just not a capture tech guy. Decided to buy this pack as a last effort to develop a liking for the Tonex. The first capture I wanted to try was the blue channel on the el34 5150iii as I had owned this amp in the past and am familiar with it. I loved it. As I went through all of the other patches I realized they were all very good. I should say that I use my Tonex through the fx loop of an HX FX (send level is about -6 right now) and then through an Orange pedal baby as a power amp. My cab is a 4x12 with v30s and greenbacks in a X pattern. I am excited to have an accurate capture of my favorite amp as well as some others that I can experiment with. Also it is nice knowing I don’t have to search for another rig anytime soon. If you are uncertain about making this purchase I will say I was uncertain too. With all of the free captures on Tonenet, I couldn’t make sense of spending money on more captures. I am glad I did so I recommend that you do too if you are struggling finding something that works for you. Especially if you are trying to find DI captures. Anyways thanks for doing such a great job! I look forward to metal packs by Mendel part 2!

I usedbit as a preamp with an power amp at the end ofbthe chain to the tonex is my amp. Cabs are always disabled and most captures are very good

@@rinatdautbaev1065 i have no issues. i allready used this exact setup live and when its open air and loud, thats where it comes to live. but after owning the tonex for a couple of months now i have to warn about 1 thing. a capture is the amps setting at the exact moment. which it does better then all other profilers. and takes pedals the best. BUT if u change the eq, the tonex only can speculate how the amp would behave. its not an amp. keep that in mind. if u want lets say a twin reverb, download 10 and keep the one with ur fav eq settings.

Just figured it out! Incase anyone was having any issues locating the profiles, you need to be SIGNED IN to your TONE NET account (in the ToneX app) prior to Restoring Purchases. Once I did this, all the profiles became available on my ToneX app, and now on my ToneX Pedal 😈 hope this helps!

I wasn't convinced when i first tried Tonex compared to NAM, but damn, im sold these tones are perfect. Also my personal favourite in the mix was the Bogner Uberschall, don't know why, its just so damn raw and big sounding but also tight at the same time. They all sounded fantastic with their own authentic characters!

Have you tried any of these into a tube power amp? So tonex direct into a fx return or dedicated amp. I run my Axe Fx iii into power amp and 4x12 like that. It sounds awesome! I was wondering how the tonex would be. Really good sounding captures, probably the best i've heard.

Dude! They all sound incredibly good. For chugging, riffing I'm a fan of Engl amps so I would probably pick the Darth preset and but in the mix, King Throne perhaps sounded the best. But I would be happy with every one of them. Always top quality from you.

im gonna ask you cause youve done both, but 5150 3 with in ear monitors the kemper or the tonex? have an axefx3 and i have just never felt great about it unless i run it through one of my 5150s but then its not just the axefx. any input would be greatly appreciated. like that the tonex probably has room to grow, but i know the kemper is hot with alot of metal dudes. one of my biggest pet peeves with the axe is the palm mutes. love the sounds in both your kemper and tonex packs makes me big time jealous. miss playing through my 100 watters lol. ive tried this fractal load box with them but it takes so much life from them its crazy.

If you can’t get a satisfying tone out of the Axe FX III perhaps it’s monitoring? Because it’s a great unit. Having that said I’m all for ToneX and NAM these days, got the feel and depth I love about real amps.

thank you for the quick reply, my monitors are adam t8v and in ear is westone x50, i never really crank any volumes or anything to avoid overloading the signal. i kinda feel like it is the power amp modeling in the axefx, but i havent really found a balance in it where its like my amps. but if i run it into this little 15w lbx stealth its pretty darn close. but its too loud for where i live. kinda so loud i feel like i might as well play my 100w almost kinda feel stupid for buying the 15 lol. ive had the axe since it about came out. its just alittle tiring at this point. its totally a great piece of gear though. i feel like my thing with the axefx that i cant really get around is the studio quality thing, for recording it sounds nice. but when i go jam with my brother that plays drums i just kinda loose all enjoyment real fast.i almost feel like it could just be me being dumb and not knowing how to balance the power section. ive even tried multiple pickups and that hasnt been much help. sorry for the long book but thanks again man.

I always prefer a little more for recordings mesa amps like dual etc.. so I would say the King II Prime could be a little better according to my recordings! Also Uberking seems fantastic and killer for any situation.

Can you split the signal like on the axe-fx? one signal goes thru the cab sim and one signal goes out the "loop send" before the cab sim. So you can run cab and to IEM and FOH if needed.

Mendel please tell me man. I bought your pack but I have some serious problems. The profiles are not as aggressive as in you video and whatever I do they dont get better. Actually I 've had the same problem with some kemper profiles I bought from other sellers. My input almost hits red in tonex plugin, I use 2 different guitars and a DI from another source but still they sound dry and weak compared to yours. Do you have any suggestions?

Soooo, bought this pack yesterday, these Road King presets are fucking ridiculous, Road Kings are my favorite amp, but as you know (I'm a Dutchie too) Here in the Netherlands Mesa stuff is impossible to get these days (that is why I will never sell my 2x12 Recto cab) 😂 So thanks for giving me my favorite amp of all time 😂

I bought the Tone X from this link and I'm not sure how to get the Machine or Evil Red presets and a lot lot of the tons are blacked out saying i need to upgrade. I don't have the money to afford the pack with all the tones. I just wanted the Mendel tones and don't know how to get those.

Also, on a few of them, i'm getting an intermittent static noise. I correctly registered it on my Ik multimedia manager . I don't know what's going on.
