Alaska is a great state and I enjoyed the break from the Florida heat. Fine jacket weather. With a population of just 700,000 and a land mass of 570,000 sq miles, there are only 1.2 people per square mile, it really is the "Last Frontier", don;t get lost or have a break down!.

if your planning a trip there, try to go on the second half of July. the weather is nicer and the flowers and the berries are still there so the wildlife will be also. my extended family is third generation Juneau and i go there frequently. it's always more amazing than you thought it was last time.

Fantastic scenery ! if it wasn't for the tallest mountains and the permanent glacier I'd think it was my own back yard . I never tire of looking at beautiful scenery.Even while I'm living in the middle of one of the most beautiful places in the world . It must be Geo shock going from the Everglades to the Alaskan highlands. You did some great camera work too.

The altitude at my humble abode is 1,447 ft. 30 miles NW of here is the Arctic water shed . That's around 1,550 ft above sea level. All the water flows north from there to the salty Arctic Ocean.

What draws me to Alaska is halibut and salmon fishing. That is my dream vacation. I'd like to do that even if all I had was a camera to fish with. LOL

Geo shock for sure. Highest point in all of Florida is 330 feet :-)) The snow covered mountains up there in Alaska were just beautiful.

Cool, you have some beautiful country up there. Hyder is a tiny little place. Must have felt really isolated and remote when you were there.

Wait till you see the scenery from Skagway, Glacier Bay and Denali. Got to get those together yet.

That's awesome! I'm here right now for my second summer in Juneau and I went kayaking just a few weeks back in Mendenhall Lake. It was amazing to be in the water just a dozen yards away from the glacier and to navigate through all the burgs. I'm subscribing to your channel! If you'd like to see some of my videos from Juneau last summer you should check out my channel :)
