Cattle ranching does not protect nature or the environment. Quite the opposite. Read some scientific papers by experts on the subject and independent research. This is just another example of people not wanting to change. They rather keep killing and eating other species even though there is no need for it and it puts all of our and future generations life at risk.

Why do you have to be so stuck up. These people are literally out here doing what they can, trying to do their part. Get a life.

Exactly! And in the process do nothing for nature or the environment. I went vegan for the animals more than five years ago. When I started reading independent research on animal products and the effects on nature and the environment I was even more glad I went vegan. Never felt happier and healthier. As a birder I can now look at birds without the guilt inside of ne. Gave me a lot of piece of mind.

it’s not fair to assume that every person involved in livestock production agriculture “doesn’t care” or is heartless towards the animals they raise. It’s easy to be critical forgetting that the prairies of the North American continent evolved with large herbivores. Human beings have shepherded livestock for thousands of years. It can be done in a ecologically regenerative and ethically sound way; by honoring and paying respect to the creator and to the spirit of that animal for the gift of food and life. Many producers are managing cattle in a way to help regenerate soil and to strengthen these micro biomes in the degraded semi arid west and in other areas as well. Yes, The American conventional meat industry is brutal, wasteful and really horrific in a lot of ways. But there are people Who are doing things differently. To classify everyone under one category just doesn’t reflect reality
