I can say how much of a great add Rory Smith has been to Men in Blazers. He's not a Davo replacement; Rory is great in a novel and unique way. It's remarkable to go from strength to strength, and that's what Men in Blazers have done with Rog & Rory.

Why is it so wrong to question a referee’s integrity?! Why do English media always run to put down any claims that these refs might have some sort of bias whether consciously or not! David Coote exposed the whole system by saying how he doesnt like a club he has officiated numerous times. It doesnt have to be corruption but there’s clearly a level of emotion towards certain clubs that these refs have and if that can influence your decision making your integrity has to be put into question!! Why is that so hard to understand??
@michaelvincent71158 күн бұрын
Agreed. I mean I'm also for using cards more on players who surround the refs or managers that abuse refs too. I would be surprised if the abuse continued if refs were held accountable and suspended for being bad at their job in the post match evaluation or if PGMOL would enforce a mandate that refs actually use VAR correctly instead of , as Mike Dean said, "covering for me mate (Michael Oliver)"

on the Brighton vs. Everton fight at the end: there's a good bit in the MOTD highlights that shows the split second a smiling Moyes notices the fighting over the shoulder of the player he's embracing and his face changes very subtly. it's probably unintentional editing but it's somehow cinematic, very silly and I rewound several times to enjoy the moment. courage x

I think Sanchez' problem is, lack of trust in the guys in front of him. He repeatedly came out to confront the charge instead of letting the defender do their job.

Why do people not talk about Michael Oliver's conflict of interest making big bucks in UAE, literally not a conspiracy theory if it's demonstrably true. Michael Oliver's wild decisions against Arsenal that you will NEVER see repeated in any other game, once is a statistical anomaly, twice is a statistical improbability, three times+ becomes statistical evidence (Trossard v City, Martinelli v Wolves, MLS vs Wolves, no second yellow card for Kovacic for two straight-red tackles both 100 times worse than MLS). No other profession in the world would allow such a conflict of interests

So they agree it is biased against Arsenal but think it is just bad luck. Sorry but no. Look also what other clubs particularly (City and Newcastle) get away with and it not random luck/bad luck at this point. They are taking the p*ss at this point.
@alexcoyg32818 күн бұрын
Just bad luck with the same ref everytime, nothing suspicious at all, especially when he got paid by the team he least punishes and Arsenal gets punished most, just bad luck yes
@MrTCela8 күн бұрын
Just bad luck it can only be one or twice! 4th time is more like being hunted and the second time within this season from the same ref- the red cards and penalties against dished out to Arsenal are not ever seen in Premier League- their initiatives are stuck at Arsenal not the rest of the teams! Letter of the law dished to Arsenal by PGMOL spirit of the law for the rest of the league! We are no low IQ football fans, however when I see 800% propensity of a ref, dishing out red cards- vs referring the same number of games against L’Pool or Citeh, I do not want to deal with him any more directly, indirectly or VAR! Faster PGMOL separates VAR marking the homework of same crop of refs, better it will be for consistency and quality! If not fire Howard Webb- platitudes and fake headlines of threats and gay refs will not placate us to get to the bottom! If current Steve Wonder(Howard) cannot see the bias then he better learn how to code or learn how to stuff shelves, bcs he is not cutting it as PGMOL Head

Both declan rice and trossard has been sent off and have been shown red card. Tell me, other than these 2 arsenal players, have we seen any other players getting a send off for the same reason? And these 2 players got sent off quite early in the season, and now we see all the players kicking off the balls, but they are not being sent off?
@alexcoyg32818 күн бұрын
Other teams fans rarely care to go into details, a lot of the media is also stirring clear of "fair analysis"because they are scared of being bombarded and losing views
@scottdressler60707 күн бұрын
Rory could have raised the Mascherano sending off for dissent at Old Trafford in 2008. It was early August, fresh into a season in which DISSENT WILL NOT BE TOLERATED. Was there a single other sending off for this the rest of the season? I don't think so. So I sympathize but it is not the first time the PGMOL has screwed up.

I usually attribute ref errors to incompetence and not conspiracy, but at what point do the facts stack up enough to really make you wonder. Why is it that we label anyone who questions all these weird Michael Oliver decisions a “conspiracy theorist” to try to discredit their views? We just recently saw a ref on video admitting they disliked a manager and a club, so it DOES happen. What would have to happen before you question if Michael Oliver has a bias against Arsenal? Does he have to be on video calling Arteta a Spanish c-word??
@alexcoyg32818 күн бұрын
Because it would SOOOO Crazy 😂😂😂 Its ok, we know whats up, Arteta knows it and the team knows it
@5-Y-58 күн бұрын
It's fine changing the rule. However, why do it mid season, and why to only the one club? And how was Oliver abused? The man doesn't have social media? What was the nature of the abuse. It feels alot like misdirection from PGMOL to me.
@EasyDeanyEW58 күн бұрын
If you have to ask this question haven't you already answered it? I don't see anyone ever asking this about any other team? Yet somehow every other week people seem to be discussing a controversial if not blatantly wrong call against Arsenal... huh wierd.
@lajohnson1ly5 күн бұрын
Doesn't PGMOL give referees notes on the match such as, for the seagull yellow, "What the hell were you thinking?" Or, "Are you kidding me?" Or just, "WTF?"
@5-Y-58 күн бұрын
Arsenal being unsuccessful is much better for business, than them being successful because it drives massive, consistent engagement. More so that if Arsenal just won without controversy... surprised at the guest, he seems naive to me.

Two things can be true: 1) there is no conspiracy 2) Arsenal have been on the receiving end of continual asymmetric refereeing

3) Arsenal give a lot of dumb red cards away.
@zsht8 күн бұрын
@@gomey70 it's not a 'dumb red card' if other teams don't get them for the same offence. 'Dumb red card' is a synonym for completely stretching the laws of the game to justify an insane decision.

What's the deal with Maresca's "motivational" style? In what other sport can a manager constantly and publicly announce that his expensive and star-filled squad isn't ready to contend for the title and everyone just kind of shrugs and goes on about their business? Isn't it his job to prepare and pick the best team available week in and week out, to contend now and to increase the team's future ability to contend? Is "not ready now" an acceptable way to protect your current (very expensive) players from criticism while while throwing your future players under a future bus, assuming Chelsea is still mired in mid-table mediocrity in 2027? Is this a Schrodinger's Box kind of thing, where 2027 Chelsea are simultaneously league champions with Maresca at the helm and tied for 13th with Frank Lampard back in charge until someone opens the box?

One can rationalize all they want but do youll think that the bad blood between Oliver and arsenal is enough to take him off future games? Theres already precedence as he doesnt referee some other teams. And taking a dig at the "rational" badge, a rational person must also consider david coote and the possibility of bad apples than blame the argument on corruption at an organizational level isnt rational (if i understand correctly)

City aren’t in this title race 12pts behind and Liverpool have a game in hand. On Arsenal their victim mentality this season has been EMBARRASSING they’ve been crying all season about everything including carabao cup balls no one wants to hear it. No one wants to hear from the club who play Stoke football.
