Yay, another recipe from the Farm Journal cookbook! And especially another recipe to use up applesauce. I'd have to make these pies every day for a few months to work down my applesauce stash but it would be a help, haha. Our apples cook to mush so I can only turn them into applesauce, apple butter and apple bbq sauce. Glad you and Howard both did a taste test, the results tell me I want to bump up the lemon zest to push that flavor. Hubby isn't a fan of applesauce so if I can hide it, that much better. Thank you, LeAnne!

Never heard the name Marlborough pie, but I have wanted to try this applesauce pie. The food pantry here hands out alot of applesauce and I just don't know what to do with it all! I don't eat it plain or with pork like other people do, so I tend to use it up as part of the oils in my sweet breads.
